The struggle is real

I’m having difficulties with extended fasting. I’m trying to get back on track, but it’s not as easy as before. I will have an early dinner and start again around 6pm. I set my fasting app to 72hrs but I may change it to 24hrs and work my way up as the days go by. If I can get to day 3, it will be easy to continue but the first 3 days are the hardest.

Yes, work up to it is the easier path. That’s what I did in the beginning. I did 2 weeks of Time Restricted Eating then OMAD then prolonged Water Fasting.

How are you transitioning into the fast? Sometimes it helps to wean yourself off of addictive foods like ice cream, meat, chocolate , chips xcetera. And replace them with less addictive foods like fruits and veggies. Just a thought. This may not apply to you

I started intermittent fasting Feb 1st of this year starting with 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and OMAD with Keto and exercise lost 56 pounds. I also did a 7 day fast back in June. Now I’m trying to lose the last few pounds and it’s been a struggle with extended fast. I still do intermittent fast daily.

I’m not sure how much excess fat you have left on your body, but I was thinking if it might be because leaner people go into detoxification quicker, and if the symptoms makes it harder for you to fast by now? (according to a lectures by Dr Klaper and Dr Goldhamer).
Or is it mainly the motivation that’s making it difficult?

It could be motivation, but I’m still fasting right now.
