I’ve been off the fasting train for a while but now I’m back on. I started true alternate day fasting with 16:8 on my eat days 2 weeks ago and I’m just starting week 3. I plan to get used to this fasting protocol then try to do some 5-7 days fasts in a few months (probably around July or August) and continue with ADF after those fasts and go from there. I’m also planning on starting a workout routine this week. I had one in the past and I loved it but stopped around the holidays so I want to get that going again. I should also mention that I lost 4 lbs my 1st week some of which was definitely water weight but I’m not sure what I lost this second week I just finished because I’ve been on my period and super bloated so I didn’t bother to weigh myself. Also if you’ve read some of my past posts you’ll know I struggle with water intake so I’ve settled for 0 cal water flavors and I’m slowly dropping the amount I use until I don’t need them anymore. I’ve also started posting to YouTube because I found that making videos is helping keep my accountable. (I’m not trying to turn this into an ad I’ve just found it adds an extra layer of accountability and has helped me so I’m telling you) I’ve also been taking acv on my eat days and acv capsules on my fast days. Using the liquid form on fast days upsets my stomach. Anyways if you made it this far congratulations you’ve made it though my jumbled ramble I’m super excited about how things are looking in terms of all this and plant on updating this journal fairly regularly because this also helps with accountability and motivation.
