Hi ! How is your day going? :slightly_smiling_face: I’m on day 9!! It’s not been easy but this forum has been everything to me to get me to this level … I’m a single mom with about 100 pounds to lose and a daily binger that turns to food to calm myself, entertain myself and just feel better/numb out from the daily stresses. I couldn’t seem to get through 2 or 3 days without this forum and Yasmin’s videos (priceless)… just get started and take it one hour at a time and keep journaling your day here so it gets it out if you … not sure about you but I live up in my head way too much … then I binge over the shit I think about all day :slightly_smiling_face::two_hearts:

I am the exact same way! I let my thoughts get to me and get in my own way. Im so ready to break that habit. And I have around 80-100 pounds to lose as well! Im not sure exactly what weight I want to get to so I feel like I’ll just wing it til I feel happy about where I am!! I am also a daily binger. :pensive: I truly hate it, at the end og the day i usually feel disgusted with myself after eating so horribly and so much…
I have thought about joining one of her fasting groups so I can hop on the zoom calls. I feel like that daily accountability would help so much. I definitely need someone to keep me accountable!!

Sounds like a good plan ! We can figure this out one day at a time ! I know the weight is just a symptom of us managing life in an unhealthy way (with food!)… we gotta learn to put food where it belongs and find healthy ways to handle the day … that’s my goal anyway along with getting this fat off my body … ugh … :slight_smile: We can do this !!

Good morning everyone

It’s day 2! I‘m so proud of myself that I made it through the first day! I had a dream last night where I was eating and felt bummed out because I broke my fast- was SOOOO HAPPY when I woke up and realized it was just a dream lol!!!

Back to ice cubes and tons of water today! Does anyone else stay in their room/apartment to avoid temptation? I did that all day yesterday and plan on doing it today too. It’s like I don’t trust my will power yet :joy::crazy_face::grimacing:

Congratulations on day 2! I’m the exact opposite. I’m usually a very isolated person, a homebody, and somewhat anti-social. However, I find fasting to be easier when I’m out of the house keeping busy. Keep us posted!

If you have the luxury of doing that then run with it.

I stayed in my first few days of a long fast and had the YouTube Fasting videos going while lounging on the couch.

Conditioned myself to have a water bottle next to me at all times. Cold water in the fridge non stop.

Now after a few months I’m still keeping a bottle next to me. And even go for water on refeed days.

Yes! Thankfully I do have the luxury to do it- I’m a teacher and have 2.5 weeks before school starts. I think I’ll hibernate just one more day till I’m out of stage 1. I tend towards being anti-social anyway but not leaving my room/apt probably looks a little extreme to my roommates lol! I figure- this is amount me and my detoxing.

I hear you! I can go all day no sweat! Get home and start cooking supper and I can talk myself out of my fast into a cheeseburger in 2 min flat. So now I have to keep with all you girls :wink: cant be having yal beat me.

How’s everybody’s fasts going? I’m on Day 4 today. Yesterday was the toughest (physically) so far. I woke up Day 3 with a massive headache and got light headed towards the evening. I found I couldn’t sleep much because my feet and stomach were hurting. It kept me up for hours and I was thinking about breaking the fast dreaming of all the food I could eat if I broke it early vs having to do a slow re-feed.
But I’m going to stick it out and not break it!
Feeling better this morning and not craving food whatsoever.
I live in NYC where food is everywhere I mean EVERYWHERE!!! Hibernating at home is still the best for me rn lol!

I use keto chow drops in my water and it helps with the lightheaded feeling and take magnesium for cramps. Today is my day 3, I’m checking in for my accountability, the hardest part for me is cooking supper for my family at night. I hope you all have a great day, you can do this, we can do this!

I started my 21 day fast yesterday. I was so hungry. I woke up feeling much better. I would like to join you all on this journey. I know with support we can do it. I have 75lbs to lose.

I had a headache all day yesterday on day 2. Thank goodness its gone!

I hate the headaches! Ive noticed that if you eat keto or no sugar super low carb the day before, after your first initial fast, it seems you detox to where its not so painful to start a fast, ie no keto flu, headache.
