I’ll start a water fast the 25th but don’t know yet for how long, I’ll start off with 10 days and see how it goes. My body and mind need healing
Any recommendations on what to eat the days before a fast? I used to fast a lot when I was younger but I haven’t for a while, at least not more than a day or 2.

It’s recommended you go on low-carb meals and exercise to start depleting your glycogen (stored carbohydrates) in your liver and muscles to speed the transition into full ketosis.
For myself, I like to do a kickoff meal to give myself an immediate reward for my future “good” behavior during a fast. I do it 2 days before I start so I can do a final low carb meal before fasting. It’s a trick I learned from a behavioral neuroscientist who gave a TedTalk at Cambridge University.
It has worked for me as I’ve completed a 40-day and two 21-day fasts since I started doing it. But that’s just me.
