Started yesterday and already messed up today

I started my fast yesterday and I already broke it today. I feel so disappointed but I will try again. Like Yasemin says “Fast Forward”. This is not my first time fasting. I’ve completed several 7 day fasts this year. But lately it seems like I haven’t been able to get pass day 1 or 2. Like I said I’m starting over again with a positive attitude, looking “forward” to the future and leaving the past behind . With God’s help I can do anything! We’ve all got this!

Make sure you haven’t fallen into the “Willpower Trap”. I went through a period I couldn’t seem to restart a Prolonged Fast. I realized instead it was my body saying it needed a break after 2+ months of religiously doing fasting and OMADs. I then did a 9 day Refeed of 1 to 2 meals a day. I then embarked on my current 40 day water fast and I’m completing Day 8 and feel strong.

What are your long term goals?. You need to remove anything from your life in the short term that does not line up with your long term goals. You need to have your mind focused on that long term goal. Best of luck. We’re in this together. :heart::100:

Great advice!!! :pray::fire::fire::fire:

You got this! It’s all about reprogramming your mind to be wired for success! That’s how you set yourself up for success with these fasts! :sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart: You can do it!

Just realized I replied to a 3 month old post.

I don’t know how to delete this post. I just replied to a three month old post.

You have to wait until you reach a more advanced level as a user of this forum before you’re allowed “delete” capabilities. Right now you are at “Basic” the next level is “Member” where you will be granted that capability.

.I realized I was responding to a three month old post and couldn’t delete. Didn’t realize the limitations, thanks for the information.
