Peppa's extended water fasting journal

Hello! Not sure if anyone’s still active on this forum but regardless I’m just looking for a place where I can do daily check-ins and hold myself accountable.

Intro
Hi, my name is Peppa and I’m a lifelong yo-yo dieter. I grew up a chubby kid, got fit as a teenager, then went from fat to skinny on an annual basis as I tried out so many different diets. For the past year, I’ve found that extended water fasting is the most sustainable and easy approach for me so I’m continuing that until I reach my goal weight.

Why
I want to feel confident in my own skin and do this for my health and those around me.

Goals:
I’ve just come off a whole month of bingeing so I’m not going to check until my first October 23rd milestone (my 30th birthday).

My ultimate goal is to lose 3-4 inches off my waistline and get my weight down to 97lbs - I am barely 4’9" so this is a healthy BMI and an achievable goal for my body. I am probably somewhere between 125-135lbs right now.

What are some struggles you face or you have faced in the past
Making excuses to derail my progress such as having a cheat day at a party or telling myself it’s the last time I binge and I’ll start again on Monday. No more excuses, every day counts.

What is your game plan?
I will be water fasting from the 5th of October to the 23rd of October when I plan to break my ~19 day fast. I haven’t decided about the plan afterwards. I might do something like ADF or OMAD or one 3-day fast per week. Typical intermittent fasting doesn’t work well for me.

I will be using the template below for my daily check-ins.

Day X
Time fasting:
Energy level:
Mood:
Sleep:
Body feel:
Appetite:

How do I feel right now?
Very excited and motivated!

How will I feel once I achieve my goal?
I will feel so proud, confident, and beautiful!

Daily Affirmation
I am strong, I am beautiful, I am passionate and I will achieve my goal weight, no ifs ands or buts! (Stolen from Yasemin’s template because I love it).

Day 1 down! This is always the easiest day for me so no real challenges or anything here. Had some stomach pain from overeating yesterday which is actually helpful lol.

Great first day, keep ontop of your electrolytes and water intake and it will help with the stomach pain. But as you know itll ease off anyway

Time fasting: 68h - fast broken
Energy level: Average
Mood: Average
Sleep: Poor
Body feel: Some stomach pain
Appetite: 6/10

I fasted for 2d 20h before I was admitted to the emergency room for something (existing condition, not related to fasting) so I had to eat the meals they provided there. I’m fine now and will be discharged tomorrow and I’ll restart my fasting again, but have to get bloods taken on Saturday so I’ll be breaking it again at that point. A bit frustrating but it’s still a 3 day fast. It is what it is and I’ll just do my best :muscle:

Back on it fasting today and going well! I got very little sleep last night and I’m feeling quite tired from that, but I haven’t had any cravings or dry mouth today.

Still going strong today! I haven’t had any cravings or desire to eat. I feel like it’s taking a while for ketosis to kick in though since I’m not getting dry mouth or keto breath which I usually have to deal with around this time. Regardless, I’m feeling good!
