Nobody supports me

I live with my dad and husband and i have told them i am doing a fast, which i have tried many times to do. Nobody seems to support me because i have type 2 diabetes and my dad says with that u need to eat, he asked why i am fasting i said to lose weight and reverse type 2. I feel like i can’t do it if i don’t have anyone’s support not even my docs will support me with it.I feel defeated before i give it a real try. Most i have ever done is about 20 hours or so. I get worried weather its the right thing for me or not because of other people’s judgments. Other people have reversed type 2 so why won’t it work for me.

My suggestion is do OMAD. One healthy meal a day eatin within an hour. if your blood sugar drops too much during the day have a low carb snack (buy some Atkins bars or something for those times). You can do this, you have us to support you!!! OMAD will drop the weight too pretty quick.

I am here, we can fumble forward together if you want… the beginning is always a bit bumpy for me, talk to you soon

I feel you, but it’s a fake cage. You decide, you are a grown up woman and nobody can tell you what to do. Don’t use their lack of support as an excuse not to pursue your wellbeing the way you want.
If it’s too hard, too frustrating, too emotionally draining, ask for help. Therapists, dietitians, fitness trainers… fasting is a very extreme method, it’s not for everybody.

Thanks i have decided to give it a go regardless of what others say. I am on my 22nd hour of fasting…almost made it to my goal of 24 hours.

I can fast with you tomorrow. I can do an OMAD on Tues (unavoidable work lunch although I will order foods that nourish me), and then WEDNESDAY…If I am not too scary for you, let’s commit to 1 week together. We can do this, Brianna!
