Hi all,
I am new here, and am hoping to post here for some support and accountability.
I have done various forms of fasting in the past: 15-day vegetable juice fast, 20-4 daily IF, I also fast 24 hours every first Sunday for religious reason. I had the most success getting my weight down by doing 44-hour fast for a month (so healthy eating during a 4-hour window every other day).
Since this quarantine started, and with some grave personal trials I am going through together with the stress from my law degree, I have found eating disorder returning to me once again. I would like to lose weight, reset my relationship with food by doing water-fast.
I had a fairly breezy time when I was doing the 44-hour fast for a month, but now…I don’t know what it is, but I can’t even complete day 1 and always seem to break my fast at the 20th/22nd hour mark.
I intend to start my fast again today, 17 April. Any of your kind suggestions, tips and support will be deeply appreciated to help me on this water fast journey.
Currently I just want to take it 1 day at a time and see how far I can go, as I found myself feeling that the fast becomes an insurmountable task when I set myself for a specific length of days - the ugly ‘all or nothing’ mentality always ended up sabotaging my effort.
Thank you.
