My journey to 21 days water fasting

Hello there! My name is Agos, I am from Argentina. I am 23 years old, and this is my second water fast. I did one in 2016 but I only did it for 8 days. This time I wanted to do it for 21 days, to be completely honest, I am afraid because I have been trying to do this for almost three years after my first water fast but I can’t do it, and I don’t know why it’s so difficult for me this time. I believe that what scares me the most is the “social life” and saying “no” to people or being around people who are eating. Anyway, I am going to try my best because I really want to do this. I am 65 kilos and my goal is around 53 and 55.

Hi there, you can do it. Remember your salt and apple cider vinegar it helps hunger. I have not managed to do 3 day and it was hard for me. I only started a few months ago doing intermit tent fasting. Keep going.

A suggestion. Is there a friend who can be a “fast buddy”? It seems to me it would help you a lot.

No. I don’t have anyone near me who believes in this. Everyone tell me that I am crazy or that I am going to die :frowning:

It happens when they’re lack of knowledge in this. My co worker forcing me to eat by munching potato chips next to me LOUDLY :crazy_face:

We’re all here for you :kissing_heart:

Thank you for your support! Now, the very first thing that I have to do is announce in my house to my mum and my sister that I am Fasting but I’m really scared and I don’t know what to say, because I have said it before and I couldn’t do it so now, they don’t believe me and they don’t take me seriously about my water fast because I have failed in the past.

Sorry if my English is not the best. I am from Argentina and I speak Spanish

Good Luck everyone.

A suggestion. Don’t tell them. Let your results speak for you. My primary care physician was skeptical I could stick with this. When I saw him 3 weeks later he said he couldn’t argue with my results. He “officially” let me drop my daily insulin injections. I started my own treatment protocol based on my own research after I got frustrated with the standard medical treatment I got from him for my Type 2 diabetes. I’m also down to 3 medications from 5. Find your support from like minded people here in this forum. Good luck.

I just started my water fasting. It’s 1 pm in my country. My actual weight is 65 kilos, I hope to loose around 10 kilos in 21 days. Is it possible? Also, I won’t tell anyone!

Yes it is possible. You will lose water weight the 1st 3 days. Then it will slow as you lose fat. For myself I lost 4 kilos the 1st 3 days which is water weight from the depletion of stored carbohydrates (glycogen) from my liver and muscles. The last 2 days I’ve lost an additional 1.82 kilos which is fat. So total of 5.91 kilos in 6 days. Also I walk, at least, 1.6 km per day.
