My First 21-Day Fast

Intro:

I have fasted from 24 hrs-7 days at the most and now I’m feeling motivated to take on a 21 day fast.

So far with my shorter extended fasts so far I’ve lost 16 pounds and I hope by the end of the 21 day fast I will be able to add to that at least another 15 pound lost.

I am currently 19 hrs into the journey and feeling hopeful.

Hey Jane - checking in to see how you’re doing today. I’m coming up to 20hours now. Feeling a little nauseous but surpressed it with a coffee.

Thanks for checking in @sterlfra! I’m going strong thankfully. Do you have any herbal tea? That might help with the nausea!

Thanks for the tip - I do have some green tea, I may go shopping for a few different flavours as a fun distraction. Great to see you’ve managed 43hrs, that’s incredible. I’m coming up to the 24hr mark- I remember finding this part particularly difficult last time. Hunger levels around dinner time are so tricky!

I’m in the same time frame.

On day two now which will complete by 8 tonight.

Figured I’d have a week to refeed after the 21 and be ready for something fun on July 4th. Like cocktails :crazy_face:.

65 hr check in - 3.2lbs

On my way to closing in on three days looking forwarding to adding my fasting sticky to my calendar!

I was glad to see a big drop this morning on the scale. So far I’m finding day three is going well and I will try not to drink as much coffee today as last night I didn’t sleep well.

@jane_fast I purposely gave the coffee up for now, but I’ll admit I was looking at coffee enemas yesterday :rofl:.

Excited to get through today! Looking forward to that day 4/5 clarity kicking in.

And my body is busy doing something! I feel a change/weird rush pulsing through my blood and nerves. My senses are seeming more sensitive. At the moment there’s a cicada or something outside making the loudest racket and it’s echoing in my head.

I’m happy that I feel fine, content. I feel like I’m doing the right thing by taking time to recentre. I’m glad to see the 2 pound drop but understand not every day will have big drops. Just keep pushing!

I broke my fast 7 days in so I’m starting over again.

I got some news today that has knocked my confidence so now it is a good time to fast to focus my mind on what really matters; my health. I do not want people who mean me harm to take me off track!
