Mikey's 100 day fasting extra crazy madness! breaking the record. uh oh! guess what day it is now! woot woot. can't stop won't stop, super time motivated fasting guru in the house! gonna out do everybody here! this time we got this! 100 friggin days!

Day 12. Going to get back into the pure water groove again. Maybe some black coffee if anything.

Day 2 was yesterday. Felt a little meh. But that could also be due to overwhelm with work load.

How does accountability work with this group?

Congratulations Michael keep going till you get on the other side. My friend and I are fasting through New Years Eve.

Day 13. Going for pure water for the rest of the month. I want to get some more pure water days in.

Starting with a new fast that is going to be a more pure approach. Ended up having some food with my dad yesterday, but Jumping back on the plan. Not sure about wear to reset it, but going to still head for 100 days of some kind of fasting.

quick question. so i broke it after I think 33 days or 34 gosh I lost count. I did that because my tooth chipped off and no sleep merged with going through a tough time I think my body had enough. I am a big foodie meaning like anyone I do enjoy my food and of course want to eat! I hate the whole worrying about what you eat. Of course I personally am not bothered about my weight but I understand being average is important. In fact lol I think being curvy is attractive lool! but hey maybe that’s me. anyway am now terrified of putting my weight back on. what with all the compliments! though i think i have already put weight on just the way i did the refeed went wrong as i didnt plan to refeed…any advice.

Starting anew. again. A new day 1 is now. Pretty much just took my time at catching myself at a get together yesterday, but there should be nothing in the way now.

Day 2 of the new plan. Still going for 100. Had to start over yesterday, but it’s going good so far.

I am, as of 5 p.m. going into day 4, Thank God!!! Man, when I make up my mind, it is made up. But…I do not want to get cocky yet…I will definitely go 42 days, but am open to doing broth plus water/black coffee/tea/ sparkling water and could even go 60 days, after 42 days, if I add broth. IF you really mean to go 100 days, yikes, you win!!! LOL
Do you take a multi-vitamin? I am taking a multi-mineral capsule, which has Zinc in it, and it does NOT hurt my tummy, like other kinds of Zinc products. I am sooo grateful. So, are we in it, to win it??
BTW, I am THE fasting guru… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Day 4. Doing ok for now. Had some broth yesterday, but will do a full water fast today with some black coffee.

Hey Mary Joy. I’m mixing my fast up a bit as well with broth and coffee/tea since my plan is to go as long as I possibly can. I have supplements I take. It’s a daily vitamin, and the electrolytes that are recommended. I’m thinking of adding ACV at some point.

The only thing I ever have issues with is if I take too much potassium at once without enough water in my system. Nothing else really bothers me all too much.

Who is the fasting Guru?
I am still not in ketosis, wtf. I am hungry and annoyed and feeling a lot of ucky, negative emotions. I hope today is a nice day. Today, I will take my new puppy in for her shots. She is into putting every little thing in her mouth. Babies, sigh…
I don’t have issues with Potassium, but Zinc has hurt my tummy a lot. I do not take a mult-vit cause that hurts my tummy, too. I want auto-pilot to kick in, and it hasn’t…In 8.5 hours I will officially be fasting 5 days, yippy. I have never gone this long without ketosis happening. I wonder, what is holding it up! I do not want this blasted hunger feeling anymore. It is not feeling like hump day to me. I am bummed. But, I am in it to win it, so I will just push through it, and eventually I will be in ketosis, right?
I could imagine going 60 days, but really can not imagine fasting 100 days, yikes. I am taking daily photos, wearing the same old clothes, and I wonder when the changes become obvious…
So, time to take my subborn, but sweet puppy outside again, sigh. Wish me luck.

Hey. Day 6. Transitioning to a full water thing as I can. Been finishing off the last of my bone broth stash lately. Wanting to get into a more pure thing now.

I am on day 12. I honestly do not think I could ever go 100 days fasting…maybe 60, if I add a rich broth after the 42 day, but nope, 100 ain’t for me.
I have been dragging my shinking ass around for the last few days. Even climbing stairs makes me out of breath. I know this, and after the 14th day, it will be better. I still am planning 42 days and that could change, in the direction of 60 days, which takes me to Nov.24th, and a whole 3 weeks to introduce food slowly back in before xmas. I am so tired of being the yoga instructor with the big, hanging spare-tire. Just visually, it ain’t a good look. I wish you continued, increasing success. Bye for now.

Day 3. Going to do some experimenting with a mix of dry fasting in. I’m thinking if times get tough, I’ll feel more thirsty than hungry and breaking a dry fast to a water fast wouldn’t stop me from fasting. I don’t recommend anyone try this, but it’s only a mix of dry in there during the day rather than going days at a time.

Early day 4 check in. Used my last bit of bone broth yesterday. The plan today is to start off a bit dry then have some water when I feel uncomfortable. Hoping that simplifies things a little. Should be a full water fast day with that plan.

Mike, When you ate after so many days of fasting, did you feel all right? How did your gut react?

Also I’m wondering if it’s healthy to be fasting this many days. Do you have health problems or weight issues? I’m really curious.

I don’t want to get into another lifestyle which is extreme and unsustainable. I thought a prolonged fast is just to reset the body and then if we follow through with whole food plant based diet, we will be all right. If we slip up, shorter duration fasting would do the trick. Am I wrong in my understanding?
