Are you doing electrolytes?
Michael's Journal
I am doing electrolytes, mostly to prevent the headaches. I take pink salt, magnesium, and potassium.
I have an occasional black coffee, but I am mostly water only.
Great job Michael ! I’m on day 2 and your posts are motivating !! Thank you
Day 13. Still going strong. The mornings are pretty easy. Nights are little weird at times. sometimes I get the feeling something is missing, but I think that is because I use to be a late snacker. I have just been filling that void with more reading and chatting with the group chat on FB. The days have gotten to where they don’t feel any worse than the previous day. 42 days shouldn’t be an issue. As I said before, if I feel just as good when the time comes, I will extend it out.
Day 14. After today will be 2 weeks in and officially a third of the way to my 42 day goal. I am hoping I can just continue to coast so this will be easy to get through. I’ll get through it no matter what, but having it be easy will be pretty nice. LETS GO!
I’m attempting 40 myself, but I’m a week behind you, so it’ll be nice to have someone pave the way for me. Congrats on reaching a 14-day milestone!
Day 15 of at least 42. Still having weird sleeping patterns. Not sure if that is going to regulate or not. Still coasting easy most the day. The only time any weirdness happens is at night, but my hard set rule of never eating after 7pm is a good way that I never give in to temptations at night, not that they are strong urges or anything. Mostly just stomach tightness if anything. Feel a bit tired today, but I should wake on up as the day goes on.
That’s my preferred cut off as well.
I have whacky sleeping on fasting days still on occasion but on my longer fast I was up early early and just would go back to sleep.
I think that’s normal.
Glad it’s going well ! … you are inspiring me too … I’m on day 5 and planning to go much longer ! Thank you !
Day 16 of 42 or more. I am finding it hard to believe that I have come so far. I do get random urges that are annoying but I will push through the short term ones. I couldn’t have done it without my fasting family from FFTH. Knowing the calls are coming up keep me on track when the times get a bit tough. Mostly coasting though, so it is not all bad.
Great job Michael ! Keep it up, you are one of my inspirations on this forum ! I’m on day 6… wooo hoo !
Day 17 of 42 or more. My sleep schedule is acting kind of odd. It seems I am taking multiple naps instead of just one long sleep at night. I also don’t really want any coffee lately. So I’ve been basically on water and electrolytes. Still moving forward just fine!
Day 18 of 42 or more. Still making it through. The nights are a bit rougher than the day, but I am going to continue this path and make it to 42 for sure!!! Mostly coasting in the day and just riding the waves of hunger.
Are you still having hunger pains? Are the nights rougher because of sleep? Thanks for sharing your journey! Great work getting to 18 DAYS!
Random brief urges for food and hunger pangs pop up sometimes, but they are pretty small. The sleep thing is weird for me right now, but are not the reason it’s tougher. Just the invasive thoughts and random pangs. But they are small and only bother me in the evenings.
Thanks for your reply. Is this the longest you have ever done?
I’ve done a 30 day one back in 2017, but this one will be at least 42 days by the end.
Day 19 of 42 or more. Going to just keep this going and coast along. The scale is showing a bit over 30 pounds down, which is a lot of water weight, but still quite motivating to keep me going. I’m still doing what I can at the gym and riding the random waves of hunger that hit. Having some ACV for the hunger pangs or heartburn seem to help at those rougher times, but for the most part, it is easy coasting and trying to stay busy.
Awesome stuff! What supplements and other stuff are you taking in addtion to ACV ?
Just a men’s multivitamin, salt, potassium, and magnesium
