@Liz_McDaniel Good that you set an achievable goal and will then re-evaluate. If you feel weak, I would suggest a ReFeed to prep your body for a longer fast.

I did a 4, 5, 7 and then a 40 day water fast with ReFeeds between each fast. By doing it this way, I didn’t have a problem except after my 7 day. I went through a period of 4 consecutive days I couldn’t get beyond Day 1. At first, I thought it was a matter of willpower then I realized it was actually my body screaming at me it needed a break as by that time I had been on my treatment protocol for 2 1/2 months. I did a 9 day ReFeed and then tackled the 40 day which I completed successfully on 11/30 last year.

Congratulations on your fast! I noticed that our goals are similar! I’m 5’6 on my 3rd day of fasting, I’m at 185 pounds. My goal for this fast was to get to 175 but today I was thinking of maybe taking it down to 160! I was reading you in awe!

Anyways, happy fasting and I wanted to add that I’m having those kinds of dreams and I’m also watching chefs competitions on Netflix. Sometimes I wonder if it’s bad but so far I think it’s actually helping!

Day 6 water fasting

Today has been a struggle mentally. Physically I feel completely fine but I am very mentally hungry! I hung out with friends and they went to get ice cream :ice_cream: I really want to quit BUT I have committed to at least 7 days so I am going to continue. On the morning of what will be day 8 I will decide if I want to refeed or not. I have to practice mental discipline. Either way I am proud of myself for doing so well my first time.

I was tempted on Day 10 which fell on Halloween. An acquaintance who knew I was fasting threw a bunch of candy in front of me at the table I was sitting. I looked up her, grinned and gave it all to the person sitting next to me. Damn if I was going to let all the effort to get to that point go all to naught for a sweet temporary temptation.

Day 7 water fasting

Woo-hooo!! Day 7. I met my first goal and am so proud. Tomorrow I have decided to refeed and continue with OMAD keto. Im also not drinking any alcohol for this month. I have lost 12lbs total (196.4 to 184 lbs) I am not sure when my next fast will be, I still have to plan out the rest of the month since I was taking this fasting thing one day at a time.
