Melanie's Journal - Goal for Christmas + March 2020

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my fasting journal, my name is Mélanie, I’m 25 years old french girl living in İstanbul.

I roughly need to loose 50kg by March 2020 because I’m going to Australia for one month and I’m sure that I’ll be more confident on my photos and the trekking will be more easy for me if I lose the weight.
The most difficult thing for me is to control myself when eating, I discovered Keto and I’m a big fan of it so eating what I like should make thing easier when I need to do OMAD or refeed.
I really struggle because I LOVE carbs (bread, pasta, pizza <3) so I hope fasting will help me out with this.
I’m feeling very good about fasting it’s not really “hard” for me, I only struggle to fast longer because of social event.

I already done 1 week fasting last year (lost 10kg) but I took it all back.
I re-started fasting 2 weeks ago with a 4 days fasting and lost 3.5kg.

I will write everything here and try to post pictures.

Long term goals : Be at optimal health, being able to run 10k again, feeling good for my Australia vacation in March 2020. Oh and… Lose my breast, they are too big for me ^^

Short term goals : Fit into a jean that I almost was able to close but not anymore, being able to close my jacket for Christmas.

Starting Weight - octobre 20th 2019 : 117kg / 258lbs - 1,65cm / 5,5ft

20-24 October 2019 : 72 hours fast - lost 3.5kg
I think I took some back but I can’t weight myself, my scale is not working.

3-5 November 2019 : 37 hours fast.
Had a mushroom soup with a friend for lunch. No bread.
5-… November 2019 : Currently doing it - 21 hours in

I will mesure my body because without scale I’m lost lol

I love how detailed this is!!! Keep writing every day or whenever you have something you want to log throughout the day! Hit “Reply” on your own journal and keep adding to it so you have a nice long thread! Take it one day at a time, you can do this!!! <3 I’m on Day 2 going strong with you!

When I began my journey on August 9th earlier this year I decided to tackle my carb/sugar addiction first. I did a 14-day Potato Diet first. Boiled potatoes and water only. What I liked about it was I could eat as much as I wanted and no counting calories. At the end I broke most of my food addictions (still have to watch myself around potato chips though LOL) and now love healthy foods I used to detest the taste of. Made it easier to go to Intermittent Fasting then OMAD then Prolonged Fasting.

Oh that’s original. I mean I would not be able to it. I like potatoe with butter and salt lol, but I believe you for the food addiction. I LOVE healthy food but I also love burgers and pizza more I guess lol.
I’m currently doing + 36 hours fast depending on my social life.

5-6 November 2019 : Did a 33 hours water fast.
Yesterday night : I went to yoga by walking (40min), had a cactus ice tea (no sugar) then yoga class 1h30. And then joined friends at a bar. I had a tea (no sugar) and broke my fast at 10 PM with 2 small plate with cucumber and feta cheese.

Starting again today, I actually love short fast. My boyfriend is coming to visit me tomorrow so I’ll eat dinner with him. Until then fasting
Again couldn’t weight myself but I believe in this process <3

6-8 November 2019 : Currently 37 hours in. I’ll eat in… 8 hours more or less  Feeling good, I did a little bit of cleaning this morning.
No headache or else, just a little bit of dehydration (my lips are so dry) although I’m drinking my water. I’ll try to drink more.
