Thanks Usmaan

But I guess I am not over the worst yet.

Today I am already planning what to prepare for breaking the fast (not yet though, I want to see how far I can go). I am so tempted today. Fortunately remains of my strong will keep me going. And my family being away helps heaps, because I don’t need to prepare their meals and see them enjoying the food. Beside the hunger pangs (which are still tolerable) the worst thing is I got pretty short tempered and get annoyed with smallest things. I just have urge to move. Whether it is walk, training, driving somewhere. I just want to be away from my desk.

After this fast I was thinking of keto OMAD for couple of days before switching to IF (aligned with circadian cycle).

The most important consideration is what protocol best fits your current lifestyle so it is sustainable. At this time, there are no scientific studies comparing the efficacy of different fasting protocols. Best thing to do is experiment. For myself, during my 30-day workout phases between prolonged fasts I do Alternate Day Fasting with 2 meals based on Time Restricted Eating schedule (aka Circadian Rhythm).

Congrats on getting to day four you are doing great. During my last 30 day fast it took five days to finally start feeling good. Drink more water and munch on ice. That should help loads. You are doing great and are strong. Keep that in mind. You’ve got this.

Joining in! I actually started the same day (Feb 11) so heading into Day 4 soon. I’m finding my desperation for food is peaking during My Kitchen Rules each night… (GG me watching a competition show where they make 3-course meals for 20ppl…). I get a 3 day break from MKR until Sunday tho so yay.

It’s hardest for me when I’m alone and don’t feel like I have to be accountable. That’s when I jump on here. If you are finding it difficult try to add in a distraction during down time during that show. I find smelling food I cook helps me not want to eat :joy::joy::joy: but also watching food videos helps me as well. I get the satisfaction without the hunger. However you are doing great!!! Keep up the good work!!!

OK, I lasted 5 days. I felt that I need to break it. My body was just screaming, my mind was not working good to the point I couldn’t do my job properly, and I was obsessed with food.

Now I am on low-carb-high-fat OMAD and will do another 4-5 days fasting in couple of days.

Thanks for all the support and good luck for all currently fasting.

I feel that in my core. I took up writing in a journal to help. Most of the time that works, but not always. We all stumble. It’s a matter of getting back up afterwards. Learn from the mistake. Fail forward as Yasemin says.

That’s a major accomplishment. Your body definitely sends you signs you should listen to. Good job for making it that far!!! You are awesome. Remember fasting isn’t punishment. If you go into it hating it the entire thing will be terrible. Think of it as a break, also working while fasting can be difficult so don’t hold that against yourself. You’ve done amazing! Have you considered alternate day fasting? I started with that and loved it. I learned to feel hunger vs thirst. It taught me a lot. Good luck to you on omad feel free to update here still!!!

Day 6 of 7. Fluid is coming off quick. I’ve been doing omad recently instead of the extended fast. Once I’m back in the road I intend to do one more fast before working on getting pregnant. With hopes of reaching 125 and maintaining that. I’ll continue on my plant based diet and hopefully all continues to go well.

Well here’s day 7 I hope you guys made it with me. I’m going to continue omad and do that extended fast in March with Yasemin.
