Lockdown water fast

Hey guys! Gonna start my extended water fast today. I think it’s the perfect timing because we are on quarantine and the only thing stopping me from water fasting before was being in social situations where it is odd to not eat. As horrible as the pandemic is, it is giving me the rest and quiet that I need to go through with this fast. Don’t have a specific goal in terms of days but my primary objective is to lose weight, and to exercise my self-control when it comes to eating unhealthy foods. I will attempt anywhere from 1 week to 2 weeks.

Would anybody like to join me on the lockdown water fast?

Hi ! I’m keen on doing the fast too  . My main goal is weight loss and exercising self-discipline. I have done a 3 day water fast in the past. However, this time I am more motivated and excited to try and fast longer.

I’m trying to make it to 72 hours. Things get tough for me after 48 hours. I’ve tried to fast for longer but am failing :pensive::sob:. The longest I’ve managed is about 60 hours and I was miserable. I’ve had a pretty bad diet and almost no exercise so far in my life,so making changes are going to be uncomfortable. But I’ve been encouraged by the results I’m seeing from shorter two day fasts and for the first time in my life,I have a steady supply of energy throughout the day. I really want to get past the 72 hour mark this time.

Its a challenge as you are probably having sugar/carb withdrawal symptoms on top of the “transition” symptoms going from sugar burning to fat burning. About all I can tell you is to stay mentally strong at this point.

I started today and plan to do it until 4/30 so we can definitely keep each other accountable!! Honestly I know it’s a mind set since it’s only been 15 hours since I started but I can’t stop thinking about food lol

I am new to this challenge but been fasting constantly. Right now I am doing a prolonged fast, I am targeting 14 days but might go up to 21 days depending on how I feel. I’m on my 60 hour mark right now. I’d been doing IF 24 hr and OMAD, but like you decided to take advantage of this time at home to do a long fast.

Hi, I’m starting a fast tomorrow, am going to ease myself into ketosis with avocados for a few days, then switch to water only. I’ve done the Prolon fast mimicking diet, and really loved how I felt after. I’ve attempted a water fast before, but can’t manage to get through day 3. I want to push through it, so could use support.
My goal is 14 days. I want my body to repair, reboot my immune system, lower IGF-1, and get rid of some body fat.
