Today I’m starting my fasting journey!

BACKGROUND
I’m an experienced IFer who has been doing a series of 4-6 day fasts. I’m ready to do longer fasts.

PLAN
I’m committing to a 7-day fast to start with an eye on fasting most of October. I’ll evaluate at 7, 14, 21 and 30 days and if I’m feeling good I’ll extend.

I plan on writing down a summary of every day of my fast. Pointing out what I’ve learned, where my thoughts are, any challenges and my solutions.

I definitely would like to follow your journey. I’d like to attempt a 14 day fast starting october 1st. I have only done one 7 day fast and a couple of 3 day fasts, several shorter ones. Please do write daily. I’ll commit to doing to same on my journal.

Day 1.

Finished my first 24 hours! Doing well. I’m feeling a tiny bit hungry but it’s easily forgettable. When my mind goes to food I think about something else completely random.`

I have a few ways to check my Ketones. I’m not worried about the number as much as I want to see if I can capture how I feel when ketones get more significant. I’m still in the ‘low’ category.

I’m slightly concerned about this weekend. Without work structuring my day my mind may drift more to food. I’m making a list of goals/activities to do this weekend to make sure I’m busy and productive.
