Day 3

Let’s do this, guys!!!

I just came across this forum and am thrilled to have found it. I am on my 3rd day of a water only fast and have appreciated reading through some of the other journals!

I have done numerous long juice fasts and a few water fasts, but I have never made it past 5 days on water only. My plan is to go 10 days; however, I would like to make it to 21 if possible.

So far, I am at the end of day 3 and doing well. I have had a few headaches and a stuffy nose. Today was a little worse with cravings and hunger but I tried to stay busy. That helped!

  • Define your “WHY” - Why are you doing this?

I am doing this for many reasons. I would like to reboot my system to break out of bad eating habits, detox my body, and lose weight.

  • What are your long term and short term goals?

Short term goals are to complete a 10 day fast at the minimum. Reset my eating habits and lose 10-15 lbs. My long term goals would be to complete a 30 day fast and lose around 80 lbs. When I started the fast, I weighed 207 lbs. This morning, I was at 202.3 lbs.

  • What are some struggles you face or you have faced in the past

Usually, when I get to day 5 of water fasting, I am pretty miserable. I’ve had heartburn and some pretty bad detox symptoms in the past, so I always break it. I need to power through!!

  • What is your game plan? (/.e. OMAD intermittent Fasting + Keto + Water Fasting

Water fasting with juice fasting after for a while, and then I will most likely do some intermittent fasting after my refeed.

  • How do you feel right now? (Happy, Sad, Anxious, etc.) and why?

A little anxious. All of my past fasts have been a little different. Not knowing what to expect is hard!

  • How will you feel once you achieve your goal? (Visualization)

AMAZING!!! Confident, healthy!!

  • Write down your daily positive affirmation: “I am…” (I.e. "I am passionate, I am strong, I am capable and I will achieve my dream body once and for all, no more excuses!)

I am strong, I can do this!!!

Hi there, it’s great to find somewhere that others share your approach isn’t it :blush:
As for getting past day five… Just take it two days at a time and don’t cave and add juice or anything just stick with water. If I’m really struggling I’ll have a black coffee, but I’m on day ten atm and regret both the black coffee on day ten and day five because it adds to the acid/heartburn for me and sort of ruins my otherwise zenness :joy: Once you clear your first week it’ll be alot easier, you’ll have found your happy amount of water a day and worked into abit of a rhythm with it.
