Kelly’s Daily Journal

I plan to do a 7 day water fast. I tried yesterday and gave in at 4pm. Today I refuse to give in!

Long-term goal: to be healthy again. Somehow I am convinced water fast is the only thing that can help my body reset and get rid of the uterine fibroids. I must add my sinus infection has also gotten worse. I started getting big when they discovered them and I don’t even eat a lot. The heaviest I get is 176 lbs and my body will drop on it’s own to 154 lbs where I’d temporarily lose 20 lbs and it would go back to 154 lbs. I was never big until I got sick and many people like me would never exercise at a healthy weight. So I don’t even have the discipline to exercise which I plan to change. I have been wearing leggings mostly for 6 years because I refused to buy new big size. I want to be healthy and also go back to my normal weight of all times!

Goal weight: 105 lbs

Daily affirmations:
I CAN do anything I want. I CAN be healthy again. I am happy. I am a success. I get better everyday.

@Yasemin @Compdude pls check in with me and Thanks in advance for the support

Ok, 1st suggestion.

Fasting by its nature is stressful. Watch your energy level and if it starts to drop cut back on the exercise. That’s because when your body transitions from sugar to fat burning (aka: glucose to adipose burning) it takes a lot of your energy if it isn’t used to it. Think of a rusty garden gate that hasn’t been open in awhile. It takes a lot of effort to first open it because of the rust on the hinges.

For exercise during my 40-day, the most strenuous thing I did was a daily 1 to 2 mile walk. It will help in the fat burning and for the lymphatic and vascular system.

Hope this helps. YOU can do this!

I believe in you!!! How are you doing now? I’ll be doing our Live at 6:30pm EST as usual if you need a pep talk! You got this, it’s all mental!

Hey is there a link for the live call ? I am really feeling weak. Bad headache even though I put some pink salt on my water. I am thinking of cutting the fast at 6pm. Getting myself used to it slowly slowly.

Thanks Alipio :blush: @Kellyn are you feeling okay? Did you break your fast? First couple days are tough but it’s mind over matter! If you broke it, rest, take a deep breath, do some intermittent fasting and jump back on when you feel ready! :sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart:

Day 3

Still learning how to navigate this site. I am feeling better than yesterday. Less headaches. Yesterday I also had a knee pain. I didn’t hit anything and I don’t exercise but my knee decided to complain. My right leg only bothers me when I have my monthly so this was a surprise. Today I decided to spice it a bit and do an enema. I am also listening to some fasting meditation. I don’t feel hungry. I will see after for when my roommate comes home and starts eating, which tends to arouse my passion. Lol. I plan to be strong otherwise the OMADS for the last two days where not bad at all. I take it as preparation for the real deal.

Late night checking in;
I am happy to report I beat the passion! I looked at the chicken thought of licking it at least…and I made the right choice. It wasn’t worth it. I opted for warm water with a dash of salt. I am so happy with myself! Smiling as I Journal this one!

I made it! I increased my water intake and massaged the sinus area, little to no pains today. I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Day 5 I am happy to be in bed and stayed focused. It definitely get easier with time. I don’t feel hungry or overwhelmed by the passion. I even cooked steak for my friend! I normally cook without tasting so that’s not a problem for me but my love for meat is something else. I was impressed to see how I was ok with not eating it by choice!

I look forward to tomorrow. I am grateful!

Finished my 7 days and I lost 6 pounds!

I am now doing OMADS until I can do another round. It was challenging but very rewarding to know you can discipline yourself like that.
