The book is by August Dunning, “The Phoenix Protocol” and yes, it is available at Amazon. It is The most amazing book I have read in this field. You will Love it. Just push through if you find it a bit “over your head”. You Will come through on the other side just fine. Dr. Wade has the group, “Fasting Focused Lifestyle”. Quit the coffee for sure before jumping into a Soft Dry Fast. I got off by mixing Decaf coffee with the caffeinated. I wholeheartedly recommend that method. Decrease the caffeine by 1/4, increasing the Decaf by the same measure. It took about 2 weeks to get off totally. Otherwise, it took 10 days of headache for me.

Strange as it may seem, it is as difficult as with water, maybe less. Since you don’t bring in One Drop of water, the body goes looking for it inside the system… the most available source is FAT. So it splits the fat cells, which have 90% water in them, and splits the fatty acid chains of the cell membrane into amino acids and uses the amino acids for building Protein for cellular repair! It also uses dead cells, through Autophagy, and also obsolete cells, like Tumors, Cysts, folded proteins, etc. But the Fat seems to be the most readily available… and there’s So Much Available. It only removes the superfluous cells. It does Not attack healthy, necessary cells. Homeostasis. That’s what the body wants and it knows how too Get it. And some people say there is No God! We are Fearfully (Awesomely) and Wonderfully made; how Marvelous are Thy works, O Lord!).

As Yasemin said earlier, “Take as many Day One’s as you need.” She is So Gracious! Success is Guaranteed, if you just Don’t Quit.

Dec. 1, 2021, Day 3… Ketosis Begins… at about 3:30 AM. Woke me up! Strangely, I slept Very well up to that point. I have been thinking, “Should I take One Garcinia Cambogia to alleviate the symptoms…? But with no water, how is my body going to deal with the capsule…? It’s going to have to use critical Water to break it down. Is That Fair?” So, I am still thinking about it and putting off taking that step. In the Meantime, my body is making Brand New Adult Stem Cells Right Now! Breaking down Fat to get the Water for metabolic changes and keeping me Upright for daily function!! How Awesome is That!?

By the way, I lost 4 lbs. on the first day! How cool is That?! To be Honest, I Still want to lose weight, not only make my Interior Younger with more HGH, reversing aging by eliminating superfluous aging cells and the loss of wrinkles (okay, Exterior also) and other added benefits. Wow!

Yes I read Yasmein’s Post which really inspired me. Earlier I always planned long fasts which ended up being OMADs. I used to get disappointed but after reading her post, I don’t look at it that way anymore. Its wonderful that we can have many Day one’s as long as we don’t give up.

Thank you so much Kay for suggesting the book! I got it . I’m so excited! Yayyy!! Will start reading it next week onwards. I’ve kept my weekly schedule very tight so that I stay focused on Self Improvement. I’m getting so much better in my work. Water fasting has been a blessing. I can totally Turn around my life in all aspects. I feel like a super human. I’m studying so much, Work has improved tremendously, insecurities are no longer a thing. I’m happier and healthier than I was before.

Will try using decaf coffee in the next week, On an average I used to consume about 4 cups of coffee which I have reduced to 2. Will reduce it further to 1 in this week. Next week I can switch to decaf coffee

I am so excited to hear of you Victories!! Nothing compares to accomplishing goals in your life. Nothing. And I am equally excited to hear of you getting the book. Let me know what you think as you are reading it!
How are you doing with the coffee? That’s huge to get off caffeine but is so worth it in the long run. I don’t miss caffeine at all! I Love my decaf. Strong. With Heavy cream! Yum!!!

Dec. 2… Day 4… 147.5. Pulse was elevated at 1 AM so I took 1 Echinacea (with No water) and prayed for normal pulse. It came down. Then Bob was coughing so much I got up to take 1/2 Tylenol PM at 3:30. I Needed sleep.
The day was totally uneventful. Went shopping early in the morning and did fine. We had a full day of work and went to bed early. Slept well that night also. I always waken during the night to go to the bathroom. This is amazing to me how much water is stored in cells… fat cells, tumors and cysts that need to be broken down, damaged cells that just need to be cleaned up. And it yields a Ton of water. In a dry fast you simply cannot get Dehydrated. Doesn’t happen. A Myth. But you Will get Younger, rebuilt on the Inside, brand new Healthy cells. Amazing!!

Dec. 3, Day 5. Day has been Great. I feel Euphoric. Energy, Focus, Strength. Lost another pound. Hoping for more than just one, but I will lose even after the fast because I am going to break this one Properly. Not much in liquids. No food until Wednesday. Just bone broth and electrolyte water. I always put onions and celery in it and beef that I won’t touch until Wednesday or Thursday. Small amounts. Looking forward to sleeping tonight. I sleep so well. Talk more later.

About coffee, I will go grocery shopping tomorrow. Will start decaf coffee from Monday.
I’m thinking, I’ll start Soft Dry Fast after a couple of weeks when I’ll be hopefully comfortable without coffee and also I’ll complete reading The Phoenix Protocol.

I’m on Day 16 of Water fast. Electrolytes help greatly when I feel weak. Overall I feel healthy and energetic. Should I take a break and do a carnivore diet between water fasting and dry fasting? Or is it easier to switch between the two without a break?

I can turn your name in (invite you)!You want to submit questions to Dr Wade Baskin. He is very experienced in all fasting areas. He has helped hundreds in this area. We are coming up to the end of this second group. We will then be doing shorter dry fasts, 48 hour, 72, 96. Then end with a carnivore meal. I think you would fit right in. So, join facebook and let me know your full name and I will turn it in. It’s a fun group. No videos at this time. Just talking back and forth. I think breaking with liquid, bone broth, electrolyte water, Then carnivore, is the best. But first, write out your game plan and the book. It is fascinating. Have fun!! You are doing So Well!!! Proud of you, girl!!!

Day 5, end. This was another boring day. Everything is good but I have nothing exciting to mention. I was very excited, even euphoric in mood. Plenty of energy. The office was very slow and all I could do was think about drinking Water or having food. So, typical fasting day. Still only losing 1 lb. a day. Bummer. Well, started Day 6 at 8 PM tonight. See you tomorrow. Btw, no bowel movements since this all started. No diarrhea. Nothing. That would have helped. Sorry if that was TMI.

Thank you so much for your guidance and inspiration! I’m feeling so blessed . Goal is ultimate but the journey is exciting and full of surprises. I have never imagined I would be learning so much along the way.

I have started reading the book, read first 14 pages and it is mind blowing!! I shall be able to complete it in one or two week’s time. After reading I think starting with frequent 24 hour dry fasts would be better as I have never gone without water. After I get used to it I can extend the duration slowly.

I will start Dry Fast after reading the book. Till then I will get some time to switch to decaf coffee.

Awesome plan. I think going slowly on to Dry Fasting is best. It is recommended in the book. I finished my fast early, yesterday at 2:15 so I could be ready to shop Sunday early and finish Christmas Cards. Sunday is the only day we have to do errands so I needed my legs and my Brain. Christmas is a tough time since we have so many time-sensitive demands on us. January is Perfect for long fasting, which is 7 days on a dry fast. Sounds Simple, right?! It was simple for me but I learned that I should not have taken Echinacea. Or so he says. I did lose 10 pounds over the 5.5 days. It was my first Dry Fast. 5 Days was Wade’s first Dry Fast, so I thought to break early was just fine. January, I will be ready for another long fast. (I just found out that the 7-day fast is not for people who already did one… although, maybe 5.5 days is still okay… I HOPE!) I look forward to 2 and 3 day dry fasting until and after Christmas. By the way, I did not hit “Reply”, so it had not posted. This is from One Week Ago!! I did Not do well on the re-feed because I had no support. It would have helped. I have had no computer… still don’t. This is my husband’s and I can only access it in the middle of the night… lol. I still think I will do 2 and 3 day dry fasting until Christmas. I will have to ask Dr. Wade about January for me. Maybe, since it was shorter than 7 days, I might be able to join the 7-day. No Echinacea this time. We’ll see.

Still Saturday January 15, 2022. So looking forward to this Awesome Journey! I love fasting. I love getting results. I have learned that the most important part of fasting is the Breaking of the fast. I have blown it three different times of reaching my goal and Throwing away all of the victory by not realizing that the fast doesn’t End with the last days of not eating, but at the Maintaining Every Day that victory. There, is the Victory. Not Reaching, but Maintaining that goal for… as long as we live. So Here is to Reaching my goal only to Maintain it… forever. A new goal… How about that!!!

Monday, Day 1 postponed. Ran into a hic cup.

January 30, 2022… Pre-Fast. Tomorrow begins 21 or 25-Day Water Fast, with the occasional Soft Dry Fast days in to break a stall. Looking so forward to this. I am the highest weight I have been since pregnancies. But, it is just a Starting place and it will come down and Off. Looking forward to the Process! Fasting is exciting because you can get results and you Know how good it is for the body. Also, it is a way to develop Discipline, which benefits All areas of your life. So, Here we go. Set up the Stickies and work your calendar, get your Journal set up for having Encouragement at your fingertips and get ready for Success. Make the Most of it because there will be extra time for Projects, etc. Start getting Excited. It will be over before you know it. Plan Today for Success Tomorrow. let’s Do this, Kay.

Day 1, January 31, 2022. A Job Begun is Half Done! Yahoo. We are on day 1 and this weekend is Weekend One… Two more to go after it is over! Not Long at all!! I have many small measurements that I want to do to keep me motivated. After Day 3 it is pretty much the same thing, over and over. Boredom. Not a Friend. Lots of Projects to help along the way, so Let’s do This!!

8PM, Day 1. Did Great. No headache. Plenty of energy. No hunger. had to say “NO!!” a time or two but other than that, it was Good! Going to bed. I’m sleepy and fighting off symptoms (like to stay ahead of a cold). I was not smart in taking care of myself. Needed Echinacea a few more times. So, I’m taking it now, brushing my teeth and hitting the feathers! Big day tomorrow. Going to get Hot Water for in the apartment and Water in the Kitchen! Night All!

Day 2, February 1, 2022. Excellent day. No headache or weakness or any other symptoms. Forgot I was fasting. That’s a first. Stomach is empty but not really hungry. This morning my stomach was growling like crazy in bed though. Not as tired but going to bed with hubby anyway. I enjoy us going to bed at the same time. Love talking and listening to him. Life is Good. Oh, got Hot Water! It was the circuit breaker. And the water in the kitchen? Plugged mesh. I removed it. Seems we had had water all along in the kitchen. My son, Mark, was the one who told me to check it. We actually don’t Need filters in our faucets. The Govt. requires it so we don’t use as much water. So, we are being Bold and Removing them! Have a good night sleep, friends. See you tomorrow for Day 3.

Day 3, February 2, 2022
Still going great. Had temptations to eat but only temptations. Head was a little rough but just the tiniest bit. Doing fine now. Going to bed early because tomorrow is promising snow and we need to be ready. Praying for better weather than they are predicting. Signing off now.

Day 4, February 3, 2022. 1:30 PM. Doing great. Tested drinking a hot decaffeinated tea (Bigelow’s Constant Comment, with 1/2 tsp Xylitol) to see how I did. I lost 6 lbs. since beginning. Did not eat a bunch of bad stuff before beginning. Love this part of the fast until the end. Nothing happens. Just not eating. Not time yet for planning my food when I break, I May start planning the Bone Broth, but Nothing past that. I want to make a LOT of Broth. Very little onions and celery… That is So Satisfying. Anyway, this is fasting Journal, not an Eating Journal. So, after this weekend, I will have TWO weekends to go! YAY!!

Day 5, February 4, 2022. 8 AM. Could not wait to Post. Lost TWO more pounds! I am Gobsmacked! 152… Going down to 130 or below. Feeling Great. Sleeping Well. Wakened at 6 AM ready to get started with the day. Tons of energy. No Pains Anywhere. No hunger. Still get slightly tempted but “Just Say No” and it passes in just a couple minutes. It’s kind of like birth contractions. You know in a minute they will be gone… Again, and come back, only to go again. I can do this, with the Power of God. OK, I’m hungry. I’m going to go make Electrolyte Water. Later.
