I have been doing variations of fasting for about a month or so. I’ve done two successful 72 hour water fasts. Neither time did i get to the “feeling good” stage that ive read about. Looking to built up to longer fasts.

Starting another water fast Sunday Oct. 27th.

From my own experience, it takes 3 days for my body to deplete its stored carbohydrate (glycogen) stores from my liver and muscles. This then allows my body to switch to fat-burning (ketosis). Once the body realizes its getting fed the hunger pangs fade and you start gaining the advantages of being in ketosis.
