Day 2 I feel the most HUNGRY, typically… So, in preparation for this. All the kids meals are prepped. Pop in the mic and move on. I have my 3 liters of Alkaline 88 Water. Made a pot of coffee. Also, studying makes me even more hungry and miserable, so I’m taking the day off of my ACE (personal training) studies and got a video game to occupy myself tonight. The 40-94 hour mark is the hurtle. BUT I think with the practice I’m excited to run throu it. My supplements have been on point. (I have been horrible with pills, another work in progress) I haven’t worked out the past two days, which makes me sad so I will today. Just 20-30 mins but it makes a world of difference in my sleep. Last time I got keto flu earlier, maybe I’ll be good by day 4 like last time! BUT I keep reminding myself … HEY!! EVERY FAST IS DIFFERENT! And last time I had my lady time so… 🤦:smirk: But, I am that “prepare prepare prepare” kinda person so I got all the tools to set myself up for success, mainly some bomb a** wattaaa!! 🤦🤷:joy:
Just, Keep, Going! 9am here in New York, LETS GO DAY TWO!!
Jerrica's Day 2 Beginning
Good luck with the ACE. I’m a former Certified Personal Trainer myself for 5 years. I held NASM, ACE and ACSM. I got my start with 24 Hour Fitness for 2 years and then went independent my last 3 years.
Thank you so much! I wanted to be a trainer years ago. Sadly my family didn’t really see me doing it so I put it on the back burner. BUT after reading more personal development and such I am going to go for it. You say last 3 years… Why did you stop? If you dont mind me asking
I got into Personal Training after 20+ years in the computer industry as a change of pace. I enjoyed it as I got to apply my skills in analyzing problems and coming up with solutions to people instead of business problems. However, I got sick and had to give it up. I went back into computers and that’s where I am today.
Seeing your journal makes me think I may want to re-certify with NASM as I feel they offer the most respected certification for Personal Trainers.
I didn’t realize NASM was the go to… I chose ACE mainly because of my idol But, it would be better to take it to the next level. I LOVE motivating people and helping people feel good! You should! If it something you love, and you are feeling better, it is ALWAYS worth it!
I hope you’re in a better medical place.
I started back on August 9th. My goal is reversing my Type 2 Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease and Hypertension. I began with taking daily insulin injections and 5 medications. I no longer need the insulin and have dropped the number of medications to 3. I’ve dropped my blood pressure and dropped 49lbs.
Through my personal network I was able to recruit a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He’s an Endocrinologist with a focus on Type 2 Diabetes and Cancer. He had an interest in Intermittent Fasting and is working with me as he;s interested in what I’m doing can be applied to helping his own patients.
I’ve been documenting my journey and plan on writing a book. The doctor at USC has agreed to review the science parts of my book. I talked to a former client who owns a bookstore. She told me all the books on Type 2 are either cookbooks or scholarly in nature so there is a niche for me to fill. It’s my hope for my book to be an inspiration and a roadmap for other Type 2 diabetics who still believe that their disease is chronic and progressive. Medical terminology meaning “we have no cure.”
I love your reminder that each fast is different! That’s good to keep in mind
OH MY GOODNESS!! You’re an inspiration! Truely!!! How exciting! I know family members who suffer from type 2 diabetes. I’ll have to get your book
Yasss happy I could help <3
