It's my journal- Soniya

Hi
This my day 1 of my 21 day water fast. After many failed attempts, here I’m starting again. But this time I am starting my waterfasting journey with support of Yasemin and Fast Forward to Health family.

Why waterfasting :
I have health issues and I feel like I have to take care of my body. I want to be in a healthy body. I want to feel what it’s like to be healthy again.
I want to look good too.

My current weight : 85.3kgs or 188.1lbs
My target weight : 68 kgs or 150 lbs

I want my weight to be reduced by 17.3kgs or more. I hope waterfasting helps me not only with my health issues but also with my weight issues. And I hope I can achieve this with your support

Welcome, Soni!! This is a great ok as ce for motivation, inspiration and accountability. :slightly_smiling_face:

Welcome. I’m new, too. I am on my first waterfast, day 11. The first 10 days were the hardest. Hunger is easing up today. I hope you do well.

Hi, you are doing great. Keep it up.

Hi,

I managed to finish my day 1. I was able to not eat anything the whole day. But I felt like my head was going to burst.

Today is my day2. Now no headache. Hope I pass this day without any pain.

Got lots more. I invite you to check out my Daily Journal chronicling my 21-Day Fast. I provide a science/motivational/inspirational video in each entry. It’s called: S2E2 21-Day Water Fast Journal.

Today is my day 3. No headaches. Trying to save myself from temptations. I am a homemaker so I guess this will be my daily thing to fight temptation. I felt sleepy all day.

Don’t be disheartened. It’s all a process in building up the fasting muscle. All of us have taken “2 steps forward, 1 step back” in our respective journeys.

Staring a 21 day fast in the face is daunting. That is a huge mouthful of nothing. My fast is open ended, meaning that I don’t know how long I am going to go without eating. My goal is to lose my belly, not fast X number of days. The first days are the hardest because I am withdrawing from my addiction to sugar. My whole body is screaming to be fed. Each day, I ask myself which is more important: to, once and for all, make a significant change in my health, or have a donut. I pit my self worth against a plate of food. How much do I care about myself? Am I worth more than a pork chop? The answer may surprise you.

I admire your fortitude. I couldn’t do it. It’s the reason when I began my fasting journey to spend my first 14 days breaking my sugar/carb addiction first because I read of too many people either giving into cravings during a fast or binging on the subsequent refeed.

Wishing you the best!
