Maybe with the fasting your body will get a chance to do some inner repair work in that knee… I’m sure you’ll be eager for more fitness focused things when your more confident in your body and strength. But remember all these house organising, helping friends ect… that’s all exercise too. From what I have read you have an active lifestyle. Loitering in bed is forgivable when it’s cold too
I'll just take a seat here for a while
The knee started acting up after the last month feasting frenzy. I know it’s somewhat weight related, but also the cold weather is not helping.
It’s something that happened 20 or so years ago with the knee. I only started some fasting last year so I don’t expect it to disappear overnight.
I am proud of myself getting through the week here. I never realized how much it takes to get through 100 bottles of water. I’m on #29 right now.
I’m hoping to see my goal weight in this first quarter of the year and by end of the year find a happy fasting schedule.
I’m committed to fasting for the rest of my life for maintenance.
What is the volume of water in these bottles? 500ml?
Half liter. 16.9oz
Ok. Good news and bad news.
Reality sinking in.
I began this journey last year in June at 223lbs.
Last longish fast left me at 167 after the refeed. Before the refeed I saw 159 on the scale.
Today on the scale (I finally got on the scale) said 185.
Who only knows what I was on Monday. But Monday is long gone and I’m not going to worry about that.
Good news is I’m still down 38 lbs from last year, bad news was holidays allowed me to put 18+ back on after all the progress I had.
I was judging by clothes fitting - but I need to get my arse on the scale again and start tracking.
June 8th was my start date. I’d love to get to goal by June 8th of this year. 142lbs. It initially was going to be my birthday in February, but that’s not realistic at this point in time .
I have my birthday week next month. Taking the 12th through the 17th as there are a butt load of holidays in that week.
Middle of March is St Patty’s day - so a week off in March. We go on a corned beef frenzy here.
First week in April has Easter. Always do a ham.
First week in may (cinco de mayo - fun day) and last week in May has memorial day - all weekend event.
Slip in one other birthday on April 28th.
Those are the only holidays that I care about in this point in time.
And June 8th was my start date last year.
New year. New plans.
Time to buckle down.
43lbs to go by June 8th.
New fasting calendar getting marked up today.
Going to go back to daily weigh ins.
Roughly 20 weeks away.
That’s a couple of lbs a week.
Scratched some pen on a calendar this morning.
It’s not rocket science. The time is there to do it in. I’m having to dig really deep inside myself for this.
Warmer weather is on the horizon and that was encouraging.
We are on the countdown to spring. I need to psyche myself up for this.
I predict lots of bone broth in my future.
I just need to visualize myself more in June and how slim and accomplished I’ll feel.
I’ve been reading/audiobooking, retreats, meditation ect alot recently. This is a reoccurring theme (and I feel abit like I’m hearing the same thing over and over again )
Visualising yourself fit and healthy, body confident, seeing yourself do it now; all helps in making it happen on a cellular level, brain chemistry ect. It’s scientifically backed, neuroplasticity changes to our brains, changes to our cells and DNA. Changes our metabolism.
Just a brain dump to try and egg you on!! Youve made so much progress and I bet! The majority of that ‘weight gain’ is muscle!! And muscle burns more calories.
You can and you will given half the chance… Do this, your in totally the right mind set xx
Lol, not sure there’s been any muscle building going on. But thanks for the vote of confidence.
Good morning!
I made a giant stock pot full of turkey bone broth yesterday. All in the freezer now.
Getting some rearranging done in my storage unit today.
Very productive day today!
Helped a friend get her xmas decor into the attic. Then she repaid the favor by helping me get my storage unit better organized so everything is on wheels and can be rolled out for easy access for things.
I have some space in there now to also pull some more things out of my apartment while I’m reorganizing if needed.
I’m almost tempted to go putter around in my apartment tonight and see what I can get done.
A little more done today. Got doors up to store in a closet that runs the length of my main studio room. They have been annoying me being on the floor. I took them down as I put up a sliding track curtain a couple years ago which is much nicer than doors that kept jamming up when it gets humid out - not to mention they are noisy to close.
Got half way through clearing out and reorganizing the smaller closet next to the bathroom. Tossed out a ton of expired vitamins and supplements.
It’s taken me about 5 years to figure out what I do and don’t need/use down here since I moved to Florida. I have a basket full of socks. I never wear them. May keep 2 or 3 pair tops and toss the rest.
I don’t go out much to fancy restaurants anymore - even before the pandemic. More clothes need to go.
It was a small area I attacked today, but it set the tone for how the rest is going to go down. I just might get it done to real satisfaction in the next couple of weeks.
Didn’t drink much water today, and wound up breaking fast to use up some leftovers that were going to get tossed. Need to get better about freezing stuff sooner after it’s been made.
Back at the water for the evening at least and didn’t go so far as a cocktail so that was a plus.
I’m so jealous you can be that througher. I can’t bear to part with my socks even when they are basically one big hole on the sole (they’re my favourites leave me alone vibes ).
Are you having fun working through all these things that have been weighing you down and cluttering up your mind?
I must do a clothes elimination every year and I still have clothes I have never worn for occasions that may never be… But I picked them up super cheap and I can’t bare to part with them incase I need them when that occasion does arise. Maybe like your socks I should keep 1-3 of these such items and no more… I’ll ponder on that for a few days I think, thanks for the inspiration #keepingbusy
Good Morning!
Hair cut today. I can’t take the long (for me) hair anymore.
And may as well knock out a pedicure while I’m at it.
Didn’t win the big powerball, so guess I’m meant for the mega millions.
Shower time.
I’ll be back.
Good afternoon!
Got hair cut yesterday and toes done. And some eyebrow waxing
Goals today:
Finish cleaning my bathroom. Just tossed 2 rugs that the rubber backing keeps getting stuck to the tile floor and ripping the rug when I pull it up to wash.
I actually started typing this this morning and the bathroom is done, a small hall linen closet is done, and I’ve started the giant closet that runs the length of my big room.
Got some things ready to toss into my storage unit and may need to just take a break and haul things over there.
Oh! Finally got the size 12 shorts hanging in the bathroom too.
Actually ran out to the consignment store. Dropped off 2 bags of clothes that have been sitting in my apartment since before Thanksgiving.
They were all too big after losing that first huge chunk of weight before Thanksgiving. I have no desire to fit back in them. Ever.
It finally got nice and warm outside.
My goal is to fill a trash bag today so I’m still not finished.
Debating a small storage run. Hmmm…
Good morning!
Looks like I’m in an OMAD rut.
Guess there could be worse.
Lots of other small victories going on every day.
Jumping up to shower and see if I can get my kitchen finally sorted out today.
Need to get my toes done SO badly! I’m jealous… maybe I can get that done the week.
Looks like you are staying SUPER productive!! OMAD is great. Keep at it. It is not as fast as WF, but it absolutely works.
Good job miramar!
Good morning!
Been doing the social butterfly thing the past few days.
I took a spill a couple of days ago on a badly leveled sidewalk and smashed my phone also. Had to get a new one and just getting things caught up on.
Feel like I’m looping back in a better direction.
We are in for one more cold spell this week. Not fasting conducive weather in my book.
Going to settle on OMAD today with some homemade pea soup.
Made bone broth overnight in the crockpot.
Today will be pea soup day and need some carrots and celery.
Then to keep moving in my apartment with projects
Good morning!
Happy Sunday!
My apologies for going MIA these last few days.
It’s all good. Weird week. It was Monday and then just like that it was Saturday.
The clear out in my apartment is still trickling along.
Some really good fasting is kicking in tomorrow.
Cogs in the grey matter have been sorting things out as I’ve been cleaning, reassessing my direction (in many nooks) and my up and coming birthday is probably part of this.
I have a giant turkey that needs to be roasted up today so I can make lots of bone broth.
Fixing on a schedule for my work week and following weeks.
Waiting for some paint to dry on some shelves in my living room.
I have high hopes for the progress I wish to achieve this week and over the next 6 months.
Found a support program that feels right in the support of my business goals.
Gearing up for a strict work ethic that won’t leave much time for eating during the week.
I’ve not been eating all day, but when I do begin eating it’s felt like I have a bottomless pit.
Part of my new schedule includes a daily posting time during the day on this forum. Will likely be my “lunch break” substitution - will be writing that out later today.
Part of my new work schedule involves avoiding a lot of the social media stuff so I’ll be trimming up the Facebook activities. Installing an app that will make my news feed go away. Already was fasting from FB the past couple of weeks so I think the transition will be good.
Going to get the Turkey on now and see if I can get back on here later today to read up on how everyone is doing.
We got through another cold snap today.
Hey Miramar!!
FL won the Super Bowl! I thought that was pretty exciting.
I know what you mean about bottomless pit when you start eating… I get days like that and have to be extremely disciplined to just “stop”. It’s something I have had to REALLY watch as thats when I gain weight back, I noticed. Certain food definitely trigger that in me. I can’t give myself that permission anymore. You have to find what works best for you.
Sounds like you are still super productive give and busy. I admire that you are always finding great ways to use your time. I need to get better in that area!
Miss everyone on here. I’m only checking in once a week so I mainly look for you, Kristy and Stacia for updates, glad to see you are still updating!!
Hope you have a wonderful week.
I have a planned check in tomorrow. Big changes on the horizon.
