Hello, I’m new to this forum. My name is Gabrielle. I started a water fast on April 12, 2020 and I am still going strong. I’ve completed one week today and I am super motivated to continue. This is the first time I have reached 7 days. I am fasting for weight loss. I have a cup of coffee in the morning and a cup of white tea in the evening. I know there are mixed opinions on this. I did look at several medical journal studies that found black coffee and white tea can active atophagy and fat burning mice. I’m hoping to find positive motivation on my journey. My goal is to fast through the end of this month and then see how I feel to keep going.

Welcome Gabrielle! Good luck on your journey. I wouldn’t worry about the coffee and white tea. I only quit coffee during the fast as I was concerned my stomach wouldn’t like it. Plus I can’t drink black coffee. Once I am out of fasting I’ll have a cup of day thats keto friendly but how I like it. With whipping cream and for a sweetener, Swerve. Its actually the only thing I miss during my fast!

Thank you @Compdude. I noticed your thread in the community and you have done Amazing with your weight loss and fasts. I think i started the detox diet phase yesterday afternoon as thats when I got a bit of acne and nose drainage. I rarely get acne. I do feel like I will make my goal of 50 days.
