Golooraam's Fastmas Journal... Dec 1st to NYE

hi… so for anyone who is reading…

I am still new to this journal thing, my original journal stuff is here:

so today is December 2nd…

I guess I’m not unique in that I’m pretty bummed over the Thanksgiving weekend poundage increase… how I put on 11.8 lbs over 4 days is freakin pathetic… and one of those days was OMAD carnivore and yesterday was low carb :hot_face::rage::rage::rage::hot_face::confounded::persevere::flushed:

I was going to start yesterday with a total fast, but I find I just can’t fast with a keto day first… so that is what I did… even that was supposed to be an OMAD carnivore, but devolved into a 2 meal day as I came down with a cold (very rare for me) and just needed something at night…

ok, enough excuses…

I took a snap of my projected Fastmas calendar with some notes

It’s not the best picture, so I’ll summarize it with some notes here:

Dec 1st: was bascially a low carb day

Dec 2 - 3: fasting days

Dec 4th: a client lunch (maybe not sure)… otherwise a fasting day

Dec 5th: a fasting day

Dec 6th: client lunch and dinner

Dec 7th: wife’s company party ( i married an introvert so if she opts not to go I’ll just use this a keto OMAD day)

Dec 8th through 13th: fasting days

Dec 14th: family brunch and friend’s party

Dec 15th: keto OMAD

Dec 16th to 19th: fasting days

Dec 20th through 27th: island vacation

plan is to have a couple of keto omad days and a few meals that are indicative of me on a vacation :slight_smile:

Dec 27th: flight home day - I usually fast on a flight day home so I’ll do keto omad

Dec 28th - 30th: fasting days (may have a social eating event one of those days will have to check)

Dec 31st: NYE wedding

just fyi - I tend to do better with everything if I include posts of social stuff and exercise… so the more verbose I am the better I’m doing…

oops… starting December stats for this month

162.8 at 18.5% bodyfat (i know it’s an inaccurate Tanita scale but it’s what I have)

workout was good despite being a touch sick

knocked out 50 pullups and some dips… will do lower body either tomorrow or Wednesday based on recovery …

it’s December 3rd

woke up at 160.6 @ 17.3% BF

last night was kinda rough with this cold…

yesterday ended up being an OMAD carnivore day

I switched meats from a ribeye to new York steak to cut some calories…

will just do a light workout from home today…

so my mind is messing with me…
so… I’m going to drive home and listen to Yasemin’s videos…

I need to remember: hunger comes in waves… it just dips in and out… it’s not linear!!!

Exactly! It’s not linear - get’s easier the more you hold off! <3 Keep staying motivated, stay plugged in, stay immersed in the world of fasting and keep on journaling, DAY 4!

thank you Lorena - I binge listened to videos and the tea video helped… I had two different evening teas and voila…

thank you… in all honesty… my fasting journal will be not be the poster journal for perfection… but I’m trying…

December 4th:

woke up at 154.8 lbs @ 17.6% BF

I was/am fighting that cold and boy my mind was working on getting me to eat… I just kinda buckled down and thought: “wait, you already have a client lunch tomorrow, food isn’t vanishing from your universe!”

Also, I watching that ‘tea video’ had me try 2 evening teas and hunger was gone… nice trick! thanks Yasemin!

sleep was utter crap due to the cold… but a ‘nap’ from 4 to 5am hit the reset button and I feel a lot better

so my plan is/was for today is to eat… but not ice cream binge - yes, I admit I have ice cream issues…

so I lifted this morning and had steak and eggs

my client is taking us out for a thank you lunch (pizza) so my plan is to fast tomorrow as I have 2 client events on Friday…

December 5th

woke up at 160.6 lbs at 18.5%

well, being sick led me to seeking comfort foods yesterday, my client lunch set me off and I’m not proud of myself… I’m beating myself up like all heck…
just going to do carnivore OMAD today…

will have a cheerier update tomorrow

December 6th

woke up at 157.4 @ 17.5%

stuck with my OMAD carnivore as I had mentioned yesterday

even snuck in a workout

weather is crap… and this cold is tough, but I’m tougher!

I had put on my calendar that today was a client lunch and dinner and that is what it is

luckily - no company party tomorrow so tomorrow will be a keto / carnivore day before I start my fast on Sunday…

December 9th: 162.4 lbs @ 18.6%

well… it’s been a rough couple of days…

Friday I had two planned events with a lot of food, and that’s how it went… plus I was sick as all heck

the weekend was me nursing my worst cold in years, but I didn’t go off the rails with food

Saturday was a OMAD carnivore day and Sunday was a low carb day…

fasting resumed today… and because of that my mood is brighter

December 10th: 157.2 lbs @ 17.8% BF

so yesterday I shouted ‘day 1 day 1 day 1’ in my head constantly… LOL

if you watch Yasemine’s videos, then one might remember that line…

I didn’t take in that many fluids yesterday as I was feeling pretty bloated… but today I’m hydrating…

so I’m on Day 2

gonna do a light workout today at home… stlll recovering from cold… I’m past the hump, but don’t want to push it quite yet…

if all goes to plan, my next solid food will be on Saturday morning

times like this… I need help… don’t mean to abdicate responsibility to anyone but myself…

thank you Cream35… I did my best to not eat like an idiot… woke up leaner so that’s a plus

December 11th: 158.2 @ 17.2%

so hunger got to me yesterday… I made sure I didn’t do anything stupid - ate keto carnivore OMAD

woke up a touch leaner percentage wise (I know it’s not super accurate)

finally feeling a smidge better and I got a really good night’s sleep - yay

fasting today… I have my salts and my teas with me :slight_smile:

December 12th: 156.0 @ 17.7%

worked out yesterday
did a single OMAD carnivore meal

that’s it… cold is see sawing…

I’ll get better :slight_smile:

Dec 13th: 152.8 lbs this morning

feel better today after fasting yesterday - gonna go hit gym and do OMAD carnivore, my plan for Sunday as well

tomorrow Saturday I have a few events involving holiday parties and food

will be fasting from sunday after lunch to Friday morning before I leave for vacation…
