Going as long as I can go

I am starting my long fast today or technically last night. I like to do one, once a month. February is so short it was hard to fit it in. It’s bad planning on my part since my time of the month is coming in a few days.
I always go for as long as I can go. I tend to hit a day where the nausea and vomiting is unbearable. I think this is because I have a condition called bile gastritis. I basically have too much bile floating around in my system as an after effect of the gallbladder surgery I had in 2001. I no longer need medication for it but I think since during the fast, there is nothing to absorb the bile and pass it, it starts coming up. I orginally could only go 2 days but I have worked up to 5 days as my longest. I would like to hit 7 so we will see.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you can maintain for seven days. :slightly_smiling_face:

So day 4 and the vomiting began again. I vomit up bile and then I feel much better. I am convinced this is from my bile gastritis. I think I just have too much in my system and my body needs to get it out. I am going to continue because I feel good now that it’s gone. My low back is sore but that is normal for me at this point. Fast on my friends, fast on!

Do you think it might be from your kidneys working hard? it was with me during my 40-day fast during detox episodes. The first episode felt like someone kicked me hard back there. All I could do that day was curl in a ball in bed in pain. The last 2 episodes became less severe. Finally during my recent 21-day I had no more pain symptoms back there.

I think you are right but I also think it hurts back there because I have arthritis in my lower back and my body is working on it. The arthritis and pain in my lower back gets better permanently everytime I do a longer fast. I used to only be able to clean one room before the burning and pain would start. I cleaned all 3 of our bathrooms in a row last week with hand scrubbing the floors and my back didn’t hurt at all. That was unheard of before.

Yeah. I just had a major arthritic attack last Thursday that left me unable to walk for 4 days, Addressed it with a 6-day Potato Diet, Was able to stand Monday, Tuesday walk to the bathroom and back. Yesterday walk 1 mile. Today successfully complete dress rehearsal for my speech competition this Saturday afternoon.
