Awaiting for first meeting tonight, to begin this fast thing.
As a serial snacker, I’m having vegan chicken nuggets as I type this, to battle the anxiety of this new 7 day no food commitment.
Making a vegan chocolate icecream bowl next.
2 hours to meeting and the start of this fast thing.
Terrified.
Will probs eat the cats too before then.
First time water fast! Current Goal 7 days
Welcome! Have you ever done any fasting at all? Skipped meals, even?
@Yogifast you’ll get through it! @Yasemin is great and will coach you through it! But above all be patient with yourself
Thank you Donna! Recently I have been doing 10 hour day time fasts, which is basically I would have coffee&muffin very early in the morning, and then nothing till dinner time, 10 hours later.
But for days on end, not really! I only fasted in high school, 5 days with one orange a day, that was 20 years ago
Thank you Shawna! Yes she is amazing! I’m glad I discovered this place
Well night 1 is over and Day 1 has begun!
Scales at 100kg, a new low
It’s a busy day today and I’m scared heading for it armed only with my bottle of water! But the videos on this channel make it easier. Let’s get this thing started!

Congrats on completing day 1 and reaching a new low on the scale!!!
Good luck on this journey!
Thanks Van. By new low I meant I’ve never been this heavy Day 1 is half way done, it’s the afternoon over here
I resemble that remark ( when I started).
Good luck! Stay focused, and keep water near at all times.
Thanks Miramar
Day 2! I had a brunch to go to but cancelled it. So hungry with actual stomach cramps, that I would not have been able to resist and stick to water! So this was my lunch at home Two course, iced sparkly for main, and hot safron&ginger tea for dessert

Day 3! Only slept 4.5 hours last night and feel tired and fidgety at the same time. An amazing 3kg down since day one tho so I’m not giving up! Looking forward to iced sparkly water and cup of tea for breakfast.
(Photos removed as this no longer feels like a safe place to share something so personal)
I have all the extra weight on my stomach for some reason, and from the side you can see it clearly No amount of diet or exercise ever made my middle smaller, I lose inches from thighs and arms and even boobs
during diets but stomach stays the same!!! And then gets bigger. Scary.
So I thought I should give fasting a try and see if that will be the thing to stop my middle expanding before it needs it’s own postcode.
Let’s see. Day 3 just started!
@Yogifast Good luck today! Stay strong. Day 3 can be difficult. But you got this as @Yasemin would say! I’m in the middle of my day 3 and will transition to day 4 at 6 pm tonight. So I’m here with you
Thank you Shawana_Weekley!
Mine is the tenth planet in our solar system.
Lol!!!
I hope you are doing well on day 4
Hi, yes thanks for asking! Day 4 was hard, never ending headache despite the aspirin. But I’m not giving up as another kg was lost! Four down in 4 days!
P.S. thanks for your earlier medical advice, I have been checked for the thing you mentioned last year and the scans showed nothing. Also tested for diabetes which accumulates weight around the waist, but nope! Normal results there too. The last thing they asked me to check was thyroid, in case it’s some kind of ascites, but I havent done that yet because- corona! Planning to get that done too by the end of the year.
Altho I must say, my stomach feels a lot smaller to me after 4 days fasting and 4 kg off. Now I really wish I had thought to measure it in cm/inches before I started!
OH, I am so glad! I was thinking of you, yesterday, because you were not at the zoom call. I erased that other message because this is not a place for giving med advice, and even docs/naturopaths ought not to do that without a thorough, physical exam, in person. I have a thyroid imbalance, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and yes, I tend to seriously bloat around the middle, when I do carbs a lot, but it does not look as if I am prego, it looks more like someone who is a drinker, LOL. I am soooo relieved that you are still here. Actually, except for the tummy, your body looks very athletic. I am also glad your tummy is going down. What are your plans, after these 7 days? Will you, pretty-please still check in here, so we can find out about all your changes? Thanks again, for posting, in spite of the nasty headache. Much love, Mary Joy
