Day 1 completed without incident. Watching the daily video is a good way to maintain connection. Post its on my mirror lined up like ducks in a row to be pulled off as I complete each “lap”. The method I’m using is to go one day at a time. Last eve I went to bed hungry. This morning I wake up completely fine and symptom free. As if I’ve eaten normally the day before. Huh??? That means my hunger is just a few paths in my brain signalling something that is NOT TRUE!

Sneaky little brain.
Day 2 over, waking up feeling slightly head achy but otherwise completely OK. The salt water + cream of tartar fixed it. Tested with a keto strip and its showing dark brown. Yay raging ketosis. Keep reminding myself that this fast aligns with 4 of my 8 core values : Longevity, Self Improvement, Sustainability and Thrift. Can’t beat that!

I did a free download 3 part course from the 2 dudes on the “Art of Charm”… I listen to their podcast on my way to work.
This morning my waist measured an inch less. I can see the difference when I put on my exercise gear. Remind myself… Fasting aligns with my core values of Longevity, Self Improvement, Thrift, Sustainability. Shooting for a 4th day and aside from mild stomach cramps which I’ve never had before, I feel fine. Yesterday I worked from the “Hotel” office so food was plentiful, delicious and all around. Kept repeating my vues. However noticed my urge to eat surged during stressful meetings.
That’s normal. Stress triggers the fight/flight response which the body then calls for more energy which we’ve conditioned ourselves to be dense caloric foods that are bad for us.
Appreciate your support big time. This is my longest fast, so far and my fasting muscle is the stronger for it. My goals are in small increments. Should I fail, it will be with a keto meal and then jump right back on to fasting. Today seems relatively easy, though. God bless you
OK, I ate today. But tomorrow I’m back on, and this time for 7 days
Back to Day 1 since I broke my fast yesterday pretty spectacularly. And no real reason. Just to keep a chap I’m trying to impress happy. I can’t fob him off with “ill just have coffee” 4 times in a row…so I ate. Carbs. Because South Indian food is just Carbs with Carbs on the side and garnished with more carbs.
And I came home and ate more.
Day 3 it is so much easier this time around. I took that one day off… Mostly low carb (cauliflower rice, okra) but ate a meal that was carby too.
As Yas mentioned in a livestream, 6 pm seems to be the most challenging. If I get over the 6 to 9 pm phase, I’m home and dry for the day.
The stickies help big time.
Also the physical journaling (I’m doing this on my phone and that’s not conducive to allowing rhe thoughts to flow)
My values of Self Improvement, Sustainability, Longevity and Thrift are fully expressed as I fast. What better reason?
Oh yes… closer to goal weight.

This morning… Cheese Omelette, buttered veggies, 2 sausages, a little coconut chutney (slightly carby, don’t ask!!! Very much a South Indian thing).
No hunger. Fasting app set to 48 hours. No pressure. We shall see. Main goal… Stay in ketosis
I’m catching up on your journey Esther, and you’re doing great. It’s always inspiring to see someone who doesn’t give up when there’s a setback or a struggle, it doesn’t matter in the long run, as long as we keep getting back to the actions that will lead us to our goals.
Also, can I borrow those fluffy creatures on your bed?
Warning: they are a Hazard if you use wool. They’re lounging on my regular bed cover and they are playful, affectionate and very friendly. Come home and all 3 of them come running towards the door meowing a welcome. I don’t understand why there are dog people and cat people. I’m an animal person. I’d have a doggie except I live in an apartment. So we play with the street critters. Plenty of them in India, where we live. How are you doing, Anna?

Update:omad mornings (cruciferous veggies and 2 eggs) for a few days until I empty my fridge. 23 hours fasting daily. No biggie.
switch to more and more coconut and cream and then seamlessly into fasting once I’m in ketosis.
Going well. The omad with ADF is easier than I thought. I’m getting stronger. Totally mind-boggling how I used to “need” so much food. Now I manage every alternate day with no loss of power.
