Hi all. My name is Diana and I live in Germany. I just crossed the Day 2 threshold and it’s incredible what is happening to my body in just 24 hours! I started the fast yesterday when I felt so bloated and unhappy with myself. I am normal weight and fit but I have IBS and my stomach is such a problem area for me. It’s there in the front and was dominating my body (and at times felt it was dominated my life!). I had enough yesterday and said No More of this and resolved to do a 10-day fast. I never fasted so long in the past, I tried but most often broke the fast after 24hrs because food is everywhere and I gave it to the temptation of immediate pleasure vs long-term happiness!
So here is Check in starting Day 2. AMAZING, incredible changes (although not huge but there is a progress for the better, in right direction. And progress = happiness!
Changes - my tummy is no longer in pain and not dominating my body shape. I went in the sauna today and sweat buckets (which I assume is a good thing!). I notice the difference in my body shape, especially tummy and started noticed that my legs feel slightly thinner. I keep touching my skin as it feel smooth.
Weird thing happen - when I realized tea is allowed as part of water fasting, I almost broke into dancing, as it felt like a treat! Same for the salt in my water - I immensely looking forward to adding something to my water LOL!
Day 1 was a bit blurry and I slept a lot, but I think the mental clarity is starting to appear. Amazing is that I have tons of time to work on important staff where before I didn’t find time. I stear clear of TV as for me it is strongly associated with food, to avoid triggering the temptation.
Thank you so much to Yasemin for all the hard work and this beautiful community for your support! We all can do it and achieve our goals, when we find powerful reasons WHY we want to change and say No More to old habits that got us where we don’t want to go back!

It’s incredible what the body can heal through fasting, I really hope you’ll experience a difference in your IBS symptoms, since it affects all aspects of life like you said!
I’m glad you’re feeling well so far!
Also, it’s great that you add salt to your water! It might help to add some magnesium and potassium as supplements as well when doing a longer fast. It made a big difference for me during my fast!
