Day four - Maya

I woke up at about 4 am this morning and couldn’t sleep more, I haven’t been taking Magnesium, and it would probably have helped a lot.
When I stood up for school I was soooo tired, I could barely talk and pay attention. But I started drinking my saltwater again and it helped a little. Luckily my last classes were canceled and I could go home earlier at 2 pm.
I have to babysit my younger brothers for the rest of the day and make dinner to them. I tried to find something that I don’t like because that would make it easier for me when I have to make it.
Right now it is about half-past 4. pm and I am still very tired. I hope this will disappear on day 5 where it should get easier.

I am going for 14 days, but I find it easier to split it up. 3-5-7-10-14 days, just like in the Fast Forward to Health videos about the challenge.
Sometimes I get tempted but now when I have a good excuse then it is much easier to say no because people don’t ask questions about it.

Btw I took a test with ketosis strips and I am in ketosis with medium ketones so that is very good.

Hey Maya! Sounds like you are doing awesome! I noticed I get tempted by all foods… doesn’t matter if I like them or not. Last time I was fasting I dived into a piece of plain chicken and devoured it - I’m not a meat eater. lol I went a little crazy.

For what it’s worth, I’ve found that when doing dinner for my family, if I fix the food, immediately plate it for them, then put away leftovers and clean up (while they are eating or getting ready to eat) then I go elsewhere, has truly been the biggest life saver. I’ve been able to be around foods in the daytime, but the evenings have been my toughest, so I’ve preferred to stay away from it if necessary and possible.

Tonight is a different story as we are having people over… but I’m going to have my tea in a wine glass (serving spiked cider - so I have an apple cider tea that is delish).

Also, something that might help… someone mentioned that they tell people they are doing a vitamin cleanse instead of telling people they are doing a water fast… consider it a vitamin and mineral fast… and if they ask why, she just says for her health and they don’t really ask more questions, and then people are supportive. I think that’s easier for people to mentally process then telling them you are doing a water fast. So I hope that helps you.

Great job on the ketosis! I need to check mine! You are doing great!
