Day 1 focusing

I wanted to start this fast because of some holiday weight I gained that made me go into a slump of bad eating. But I’m done feeling like I’m not in control! I am determined and persistent. I will finish my fast one step at a time and not let myself be tempted or daunted. I want to be back in the 145-135 range by the end of this ten day fast. I am grateful for being able to study in university, the clothes on my back, and the people who love me. This journey is important to me because I feel winded when I do things I love like hiking or singing. It is important to me because I feel ashamed that I let myself get to this point by being in denial about my weight gain. I am trying to live my life more focused, more intentional and I feel this fast will help me feel efficacious.

Watch your stress levels during mid-terms and finals. Unfortunately, when hit with unexpected stress we’ve had other students fail as they binge for stress relief. Just saying…
