David's Ramblings: Water Fast but Why?

38/male - 6’2 and 192lbs

24 hours ago or Day 1.
I felt hungry most of the time. Tried drinking a glass or two whenever I get hungry but the pangs return after a couple of hours. Probably its just psychological and me thinking about the taste of food.

Yasemin’s lates video gave me comfort. I was able to keep my thoughts focus by writing down my goals - what I wanted to achieve and why?

  1. Get at least a couple inches of belly fat off.
  2. Gain perspective of my future.
  3. Spiritual strengthening … pick up the Bible and read.

Its been 30 hours now (Day 2).
As I look at water fasting from different angles, perspective instead of that obvious common goal of loosing weight, helps to keep me focused and motivated. I can now look at my favorite dish, giving it a deep long sniff and walking away from it like a champ.

Anyway, having a mild headache and eyes feel weary as I type this journal.
Hopefully my head clears tomorrow.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you guys do if you get hungry, headaches and tired. I’ve tried supplements and Himalayan salt but noticed I get hungry even more after.

Question:
Should I really be chugging water down? I’ve only been drinking water whenever I feel thirsty or hungry and not like 2 litters or more like some you-tube videos suggest. Is that why I’m having headaches?

I love this journal entry!!

For water, no need to be chugging it down, you can just drink when you’re thirty and make sure we take your electrolytes! <3

You’ll definitely start to notice that your sense of smell gets heightened and smells are very satisfying without making you want to break your fast since you know you can eat it later on!

Keep it up David!!
