Clarissa's Prolonged Water Fast - Start Date: 8.18.20

Here I am again. Day one! I am going to keep a journal specific to this prolonged fast. I have decided to make the fast open ended; although I really want to go at least 21 days. My starting weight is 169.8 lbs.
I plan to weigh myself again on August 31, 2020.

So far I will be starting my 18th hour fasted in about 20 minutes.
I have had water and black coffee.

I am feeling pretty good so far and well keep on.

Why

Why am I doing this fast? I mostly want to do this for health reasons and as a sort of reset and detox from food. I have not been eating too well during the pandemic and I need a change. I have gained excess weight and want to lose the weight in a way that I can sustain long term.

Goals
My goal weight is 125 lbs, which means I need to lose approximately 45 lbs. I hope to lose most of the weight through several prolonged fasts. The most time that I have been able to water fast sucessfully has been 7 days…so I will consider it an accomplishment if I can go past that time frame!

Another goal is to cut my addiction to sugar. I hope that after my prolonged fast I will be able to cut white sugar out of my diet completely.
