Citron's 6 Day Water Fast - Join me!

She doesn’t even know about these water fasts. That’s so cool that your mom supports you! Can’t wait till your book comes out.

Same! We’re in here all together! It sucks to give into our cravings but it’s normal. We’re humans and our bodies are used to eat food. Yes it sucks because it wasn’t planned but the only failure is to fully give up. Just ruff yourself together and move on! I personally can’t even count the times I failed. I seriously think it’s slowly getting to the 1000 mark but I’m still not giving up until I’ll reach my goals!! I’m not giving up and every time I’m trying harder!

Day 1, 18 hours

So I’m currently at 18 hours and feel no desire to eat, unlike yesterday. Plus I already had a BM, so I’m hoping I won’t get that intense urge to eat, which I usually get when I have to go.

I went on the scale and was so happy to see that it’s still at 130. I was expecting it to be higher on account of my 2 binges in 2 days. However they were both after at least 17 hours of fasting, so maybe that helped?

What happens to BMs when you fast for an extended time? Do you just stop going? And isn’t that unhealthy, especially when you’re trying to get rid of toxins?

  1. Yes, minimum fasting of 13 hours will keep weight gain in check because it allows insulin levels to drop enough to get some ketosis going. More importantly starts using of glycogen (stored carbohydrates) in your liver and muscles.

  2. From personal experience it could take anywhere from Day 3 to Day 10 for your g.i. Tract to fully vacate everything out of the body. When this happens you can get healing down there as it gives the g,i, tract a break.

3, Toxins will then get processed out of the body through breath and urine, For those with CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) this can be challenging. Since I have CKD during my 40-day it manifested itself as lower back during each of the 3 detox episodes. First one was debilitating pain that I just curled up in bed and moaned, However, each succeeding episode the pain was less. During my recent completed 21-day, I felt no discomfort at all.

Yeah, that’s one of the reasons I’m doing this is to clean out my GI tract, cuz I have sibo. Hopefully I’ll be able to starve them while killing them at the same time! I just don’t have the willpower or environment to modify my diet too much otherwise.
