Christin’s Daily Journal 14-21days

Day 1: I am on a mission to do a 14 day-21 day fast. My main reason is for mental clarity, when I finish my fast I will continue Keto 18:6 eating windows with smaller fasting cycles. No sugar, no carbs, no alcohol and no nuts (because I’m a nut addict) for 60 days. I’m taking “Me” back after six months of hell. I took photos but don’t have the confidence to post, I’m looking forward to the euphoria and happiness this long fast will bring. I finished 10 days last month and have been exercising my fasting muscle. I’m also recording videos daily to capture my emotions as I embark on this Journey. I’ll be turning 37 in almost two months and want to be as healthy as possible as my next goal will be trying to conceive and family plan. I haven’t had much success over the last year and really want to dial in my health prior to taking on what challenges may lie ahead. This is not just accountability but also my vulnerability page. Here we go, happy fasting!

Day 2: Nothing too crazy here, super busy. The thought of food sounds nice but my energy levels feel better. No anxiety, very productive. Work has been so crazy I have no time to think about food.

Day 3: Feeling a little sleepy just a few rumbles in my tummy but nothing crazy. Not overthinking the fast, just doing and moving through the days occupying my time with work. Found out I’m getting a 10% pay cut because of COVID. Nice, well, I guess more motivation to eat less?

I’ve lost 5lbs in 2 days but that is mostly water weight as I was a naughty girl pre-fast so, it’s not real weight. I don’t really care about the weight at this time, but I do enjoy watching the data. I’m most concerned about autophagy, a clear mind, and re-setting my hunger cues.

I can’t wait to exercise this fasting muscle so I can go back to a low carb, fasting lifestyle. I’m excited for what is to come of this longer fast.

Day 4: Tired today, was pretty emotional but worked all day and all I want to do is take a big fat nap!

Today has been the hardest day thus far, but mowing through it.

Days 5-6: A little cranky but busy. Still not my best part of my fast but manageable

Day 7-10: MY FAVORITE thus far, in Europhia. I’m so busy I haven’t posted but I’m here and going strong waking up on day 11. Mins is strong, but a little physically slow but manageable.
