Hello all,

I’m Cherrish, and today is day 1 of my watering fasting journey. I wasn’t successful with my last water fast earlier this month due to bingeing a.k.a emotional eating. I don’t believe in giving up, so I’m at it again learning my weaknesses with food. I look forward to new beginnings!

Question is it “emotional eating” or is it a physical addiction? When I started my journey back in August 9th I knew I had a sugar/carb addiction. So I did the Potato Diet for 14 days to break my addiction and change my taste palate. That’s because I had 2 working parents so I was raised on the SAD (Standard American Diet) and as a result also hated the taste of vegetables and fish. 14 days of eating as much as I wanted of boiled potatoes cured me. When I started on Intermittent Fasting I didn’t have the old cravings or if I did it was easier to withstand them.

I would say I’m a sugar addicted mostly. I’ve never been big on huge meals but I love sweet for sure.

Yeah. Though the Potato Diet broke most of my food addictions I still have to be wary of potato chips. LOL.
