Can't do it.. its to hard, but i am gonna keep trying

I really find fasting hard i don’t know why i just do the most i can fast up to is 15 hours anything past that and i cave. Tomorrow in Australia is Lent so i might try it again then and do 40 days. and extend if i can make it up to that. But i just need to get to a goal of 24 hours then see if i can do more each time. One step at a time i think but i just can’t seem to do it.
Maybe i sabotage myself since i don’t get hungry or full and have not in 8 yrs. my sugars where coming down too i think i get worried about going to low with my sugars and not being able to poop. Maybe ill start from now instead of waiting til 12am like i do.
Will keep trying until i get there. i won’t give up even though i find it hard.

One thing I use is to fantasize about eating. Give it a try especially lying in bed. Start out with a juicy pot roast with lots of fat with gravy over carrots and onions. I’m serious. Do it for several minutes followed by what ever sweets you like. I’m 71 and have never said no to my stomach but now have completed a 24 hr, 48 hr and a 72 hr fast. Easier to fast than to diet. It’s like an alcoholic going on the wagon. Just say no to yourself period. It’s pretty important. It can be life or death as I’m 2 years post bypass surgery.

I love your title. It caught my eye. I have been struggling myself and it used to be so easy for me. I love that you said, “but i am gonna keep trying.” That’s very important. Many of the successful fasting testimonies had many failed attempts, but because they did not give up, because they kept trying they made their goals eventually.

By the way 15 hours is great in my opinion. If you listen to some of the intermittent fasting testimonies on YouTube, some have achieved great benefits by fasting around this length of time daily. If all you could do for now is 15 hours everyday that could very well be life changing for you if you kept it up. Then one of these days you may be able to go longer and then one of these days you may even be able to reach your goal. I know your goal is not intermittent fasting, but it is a place where a person who is struggling can start. I prayed for you. You will be okay if you keep trying. So will I.
