It was 10 days into my fast before I stopped feeling hungry all the time. The first days are the hardest.

I want to fast all throughout the month of march.

So today was a no good very bad day :disappointed_relieved: like seriously bad, and my kids made garlic bread which is a favorite of mine that I had to smell for like and hour but I made it through.
I am surprised because emotional eating on carbs is a big problem for me normally.

You have the resolve to do this!

On day 3

So it has been a few days, I have not been having the best time to be honest (personal stuff). I did break my fast but am back on now this is day 2 for me. Feeling a little disappointed in myself but have decided not to let this bump completely derail me. Despite my impulsive break I have lost 6lbs so far. I restarted my life app timer and I can still get in a 21 day fast in March so that is my goal. I made a mistake but I am going to finish strong!

My goals for today are

  1. do not give in to cravings
  2. clean/organize my house
  3. spend some quality family time with my kids

Today’s affirmation : I am achieving the goals I set for myself by fasting.

Feeling kinda blah this morning, no energy, no motivation to do anything :frowning: still sticking with the fast though.

this was my view this morning on my walk to work #weneedspring -10°c right now which is not helping my mood. It did however wake me up so that is something I guess.

My goals for today are

  1. do not give in to cravings
  2. do some light exercise

Affirmation: by fasting I am initiating positive changes in my life.

Well I did not do my 30 day challenge exercise today, but I did a ton of walking. I had to drop off paperwork downtown so I decided to walk it.

Feeling stressed out and worrying about if I will be able to feed my kids. I know how to fast and can do so for a long while bit my kids cant and this is what I see in all the stores where I live today. Kinda unrelated but felt I needed to share.
On the fasting note still doing well here.

Hi guys I’m back
I am participating in this weeks 7 day fasting challenge.
I have not fasted for months and gained about 26lbs since I was last on here. I got covid in the beginning of April and was sick (bed ridden) for 7 weeks, being a single mom I still needed to provide meals to my kids but was unable to get out of bed so I ordered food regularly during that time. I’m noticing that ordering food like that has triggered my binging and food addiction all over so I am basically starting back at the beginning. Even though I have gained weight and even though I am back to where I was before, I have does this before and I am doing it again. I am one-hundred percent committed to completing at least one week of fasting. I would like to go longer than the one week and will reevaluate at the end of the challenge.

Glad you survived the virus and are feeling better.

Just gave a Zoom PowerPoint on how fasting increases metabolic health and decreases susceptibility to infectious viruses like SARS-CoV-2. It was well received.
