Well I had to ramp up slowly. When I began my journey on August 9th of last year I weighed 278 pounds at 5’8”. At the end of my recent 6-month campaign, I had dropped to 173 pounds. So 105 pounds in less than a year.
After I completed a 40-day water fast on November 30th last year and had my blood panels looked at by my doctor’s office, they subsequently allowed me to officially drop all 6 of my daily medications as I had reversed my T2 diabetes, cured my hypertension, cholesterol and gout.
Then the hard work began which was rebuilding my diabetes ravaged brain and body. My cycle right now is 21-day fast/10 day refeed/30 day workout. The 1st 30 day workout I just focused on Flexibility and increasing aerobic endurance. The next 30-day I added Core Strength to Flexibility. The one after was on adding lean muscle mass and continue to work on flexibility. This current 30-day is focused on overall body strength and still working on flexibility.
Btw, I used to be a Certified Personal Trainer and just passed my re-certification exam a couple of weeks ago. Not for returning to training clients 1-on-1 but to get re-certified in the integrated methodology that I’ve adapted to fasting protocols.
Hope this answers your question as you see the progression in each workout.
I had to do it this way because I had a health crisis in 2010 where I lost my training business and became bedridden for 5 years. During that time I survived congestive heart failure and had cataract surgery in my right eye. So I was as weak as a kitten when I started.
