April’s daily journal

I had my final meal last night, curry and paratha… and a scotch.
I had an odd dream last night about a close friend of mine visiting me at my ex husbands house.

I’m feeling somewhat anxious about the week ahead.
I don’t drive so I walk or use public transport to get around and as spring is kicking in it’s going to be warm.
I keep thinking about the possibility of fainting at work and how that might be distressing for my clients.

Right now my goal is to get to Saturday.
I will be having what I’ve decided to refer to as a brief intermission on Saturday and then straight back to water.
I am hosting a dinner party next weekend and I’d like to avoid having a house full of doctors asking me why I’m not eating.
I’ll keep it light, maybe a little daal and some saag.

You are not fainting, keep this out of your mind, when you get dizzy, just close your eyes, relax and keep breathing… good lcuk

Hey Fatima, unfortunately that’s what has happened during a previous water fast so it’s in the back of my mind to just take it slowly.
There was no feeling before it happened for me to get through, I stood up to shake a client’s hand and then down I went.

Salt really is a cure all for me when it comes to dizziness, heart palpitations and nausea while fasting. Years ago, I did a 3 day fast with plain water only and had to stop bc I knew I was about to pass out, and I had zero energy. My last 3 day fast was so much easier bc I kept bottles of water with a half teaspoon of himalayan salt. Whenever I started to feel unwell, I’d make sure to drink a bottle, and it works every time to put me right again. That might work for you too. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks so much for the suggestion, I’ll definitely up my himalayan salt!

Day 2.
Feeling pretty irritable and really craving aged cheddar.
I tried on some clothes today but while they looked cute I’m not entirely happy with how I look and I’m looking forward to getting down to a healthier weight.
