I’m excited to start this water fast! My goal is 72 hours since this is my first water fast. I’ve been doing IF and OMAD on and off for the last year, and cut way down on carbs and lost 40 lbs. The last month though, I’ve been on a carb eating frenzy, and have gained back 5 lbs. I realize I could easily fall back into old patterns of eating so I’m taking control now.

My journey to better health and weightloss is starting with this water fast. My initial goal is 72 hours, but if I feel good, I may extend it to 5 days or 7 days. This is a precurser to me going back on OMAD and my overall goal is to get down 10 lbs below my lowest weight, so basically 15 lbs weighloss minimum before the holidays… If I can get lower, that would be great too.

I was not able to start at the beginning of the day yesterday, so my last meal was at 9PM on 10/27. I will post again tomorrow after I’ve made it over 24 hours!

Made it through Day 1! I work at home so the kitchen is always calling my name. I’m proud that I was able to stick to it and survive the first day! Today should be easier because I’ll be running around to customer appointments and be kept very busy. I know we aren’t supposed to be checking the scale all the time… but curiosity got to me! I’m happy to say that I’ve dropped 5 lbs! in one day! I realize this is probably all bloating and water weight but its exciting never the less! This is the 5 lbs that I had gained, so now anything else I lose is now progress! I found that I woke up rather early today… not sure if that is a result of the fast or because I heard a noise and then couldn’t return to sleep. But, my energy is good today, and I’m content to move on through Day 2!

Yesterday I was really good at drinking the water and green tea. I also limited myself to 2 cups of coffee. I took my supplements too. At lunchtime, I took a 45 minute walk around my neighborhood. And, last night, I had to do food shopping but I survived that and picked up food for my family that is easy to make and won’t stress me too much for the next few days. I feel good! Today may be a bit more difficult to keep up on the water since I’ll be travelling and bathrooms may not be easily found… So, that will be one goal – to drink my water and void throughout the day; I will walk my 10,000 steps, and I will be positive and stick to it all day!
