Aiming for 21 day water fast, let's check in each day! starting 17th November.. tips and motivation let's go!

I am starting a 21 day water fast tomorrow 17th November. I’m 168 pounds, 5.6 inches tall…
Would love to aim for 140, but we will see.
Have lasted 5 days before, but I need this time to work!!
Let’s check in daily and motivate one another

I struggle heavily with binge eating and emotional sabotage, so this will hopefully reset my mental discipline and gift myself the feeling of being back to my usual 140. I gained the 30 during this pandemic, now it’s time to say no more!

Wow!! Well done, do you mind me asking what your main reasons for fasting are? And how much weight you’ve lost? I will conquer that five day battle day!

My dad died and it really messed me up so spiritual reset as well as I needed to for my health. I don’t weigh myself because I tend to become fixated. I know my weight before though so I may weigh myself in a few weeks. I see a huge difference in my midsection. You definitely will conquer your 5 day fast.

I’m so sorry to hear that, your dad would be proud of your hard work and discipline to become stronger both spiritually and physically… yes I found the same, I will do the 21 days no if’s or buts!
I think I’ll weigh myself every couple days…how long will you be going?

I haven’t decided yet. Possibly 40 days. You definitely will crush your fast. When it gets hard I remember the reason I started fasting. I find having an encouragement plan helps me. This and various online platforms help. I can see other people’s struggles and progress.

First day today… went to the gym and did cardio for 45 mins… I ate heavily last night so was good to go.
Maybe tmi - but also took a laxative to clear out my system before the fast commences.
I weighed in at 175 this morning, not surprised as been EXTREMELY relaxed over the last few days.
Let’s hope some water weight comes off and I get into ketosis nice and quickly…
I’m debating doing some more light cardio tomorrow, but will judge how I feel. I plan to just do daily light walks during my fast but not push myself.

Hey Naima, lovely to meet you here! Congrats on making the decision to restart, I saw your 7 day fast, huge congrats on that! I only ever made it to the 5th day, then pizza kept calling lol… I was really feeling that hump but I wish I’d kept going…on day 2 now, and in it for the long run - hopefully we can motivate one another
How do you plan to tackle the headaches/nausea if they arrise?

Hey there, how are you doing on your fast? Exactly, I didn’t think to journal before and write to others but hopefully it’ll give us accountability and support - we all need it <3

Checking in day two, like I guessed (and hoped) I weighed in this morning at 169… 6 pounds water overnight haha, crazy but I’m happy as I was doing OMAD for a couple weeks and was relieved my hard work hadn’t gone to waste.
I have a LPG body treatment later, good for lymphatic drainage and the old cellulite so I’m going to be doing those during my fast.
Will be sticking to green tea, ginger tea, black coffee and of course water and electrolytes!

It’s actually been a little rough just the thought of water makes me sick. Other than that ok I guess. I force myself to drink but it tastes gross to me. I have officially hit the 20 day mark. Don’t know if it’s related either but my sinuses have been extremely dry was not having that issues before fasting but it could be unrelated. I changed my air filter. I also still get hunger pangs. How are you doing? Lymphatic massage sounds like a good idea.

Day 3, feeling a little weak. Did not sleep so well, drinking my black coffee and I think today I will add my electrolytes.
168 pounds, 1 pound loss, hopefully it’ll keep at that.
Was going to gym but no way I’ll just think I’ll do a little a walk.
