I’ll join in! I definitely need some accountability. I’ll weigh in tomorrow morning and post it.
I’m in! I’m on day 3.
I’m joning !!! I’m on day 4
I am struggling to even finish 24 hours. I am currently on the OMAD diet but I want to push longer. My only problem is that after work having gone the whole day without food and staying alone I feel like that one meal is what I have to look forward too at the end of the day. For the most part I eat healthy- eggs, salad, green tea, plain yogurt and nuts. That one big meal stays under my 1200 calories in order for me to lose weight. I have lost 25kg from 100kg to 75kg in the last 6 months but the goal is 64kg, I am stuck on 75kg for the last month and it seems to be more harder to lose now. I had hope fasting would reset my metabolism except here I am now struggling to even do one day when my longest fast so far was 5 days. Any tips for how to get back to it again? I need these accountability groups perhaps that could help.
The reason is our strong adaptability characteristic. As a former CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), I’d see this with clients as their body adapted to the workout. I’d then change it up to “shock” their body.
Since you need to be able to look forward to an OMAD, I’d suggest a transition step to doing prolonged fasting. A.F. (Alternated Fasting) which is a fasting day then a feast day. There are many ways of doing it. For myself, when I’m doing a 30-day workout phase I do this version of AF: a Fast day of around 600 calories and then a Feast day of unlimited calories on a Time Restricted schedule, meaning I never eat past 3pm to take advantage of the Circadian rhythm when the body is most insulin sensitive early in the day.
Here’s someone that’s been successful on the AF format that I follow:
Hope this helps!
Thank you I appreciate sharing you knowledge. Especially about how to transition by simply reducing the calories in order to reach a complete day of fasting. It will definitely help me the last 11kg so I can reach my goal.
