This is my day 5 of 21. It’s started out as a 48 hour fast as I embarked on a keto diet and then had a bad day and ate pizza and donuts. I researched how to get back into keto quickly. As I researched more and more I saw what health benefits were attributed to longer fasting. At first I thought 6 days. That’s a big enough challenge for me as I have only fasted for religious purposes but used green tea and chia seeds as a source to curb the hunger. Those “fasts” only lasted 2 days at most. I’ve had such an unhealthy relationship with food but just recently took initiative to do something about it. So here I am, I found a YouTube video of the lady who started this forum on day 3 of my fast. Her results of a 21 day fast we’re incredible. I had never heard of this before but I was very intrigued. So here I am, starting this journey. So excited I have found like-minded people. I am doing one day at a time but I feel amazing today! did the sticky notes on my fridge today. Also! Big news for me…I am not a person who exercises one bit, but I managed to “power walk” for 30 minutes around my neighborhood and then came home and ran up and down my stairs until my legs felt like jelly, then a cool down of 10 minutes just walking around my downstairs. Feeling very accomplished and have enjoyed my day today. Hunger has definitely subsided and I feel genuine joy and happiness. Thank you to everyone on here! What a great support group! This forum was a hidden gem for me. With God, all things are possible! Thank you Jesus for this season of accomplishment and a website full of support and accountability:two_hearts:

FYI: I completed the “Jesus” fast late last year. 40 days water ONLY and a daily walk of 1 to 2 miles. After reviewing my blood panels, my doctor’s office declared me “medication free”.
That’s amazing! Yes, I just never thought in these times people are actually committing to so many days. A real eye opener and definitely blessed to find this forum. I currently take allergy medicine for seasonal allergies but I was reading up on being medication free after fasting. I haven’t taken it in 2 days and no allergies so maybe it’s working . Thanks for the support!
Day 6
Horrible knee/leg pain at 2 in the morning. Feeling better now just slight dull pain. Going to get magnesium and potassium today. Didn’t feel like the usual black coffee this morning so just water for now. Going to walk today after Online church, maybe skip running up the stairs. I’ll see how I feel. All in all I’m pretty satisfied with no food cravings and feeling mental wellness. Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy!

Day 7. Feeling good. No complaints little feelings of wanting to eat and a couple stomach growls but all in all this was an easy day. Praise the Lord! Went swimming with my family, did my moms hair and played outside with the kids. I did have slight allergies…haven’t taken my allergy medicine since day 3 but it really was just a little bit of itchy eyes and a handful of sneezes. It was a really good day.
This is a big deal! It sounds like this is your first 7 day fast! I bet you are feeling so proud of yourself!! Way to go!
Yes it is my first time fasting for more than 2 days so it is pretty exciting. Just relying on the Lord for mental and physical strength. Trying to get to 21 days but we will see how I feel. Thank you for your support have a blessed day!
Day 8! Not the best sleep last night but all in all feeling good just a little tired. Allergies are back in full swing. Step on the scale and 1.8lbs lost. Total of 16.2lbs lost. Wow. I would have never thought I would even closely be feeling as well as I do or get these kind of results. I know they say you slow down towards the latter end of your fast but I haven’t yet. Taking my potassium and magnesium. Going to do some Himalayan pink salt in a little as suggested on here. Haven’t done the finger dip yet but I will try. Very thankful today and feeling joyful
Current: 217.8lbs
Thank you @MindyK God bless you and your journey as well! Stay strong minded and focus on what you can control! God is doing a work in you❤️
Day 4 Done. 13lbs gone.
The step on the scale is always a fun part of the morning for me! Incredible results @Compdude
Evening of day 8…it was a good day some moments of lightheadedness but I was pretty active today. I did a couple pedicures and haircuts for my neighbors. My salon just announced we will be opening on the 4th of June. Really hoped I would be able to complete this journey while being able to rest if I wanted or needed. Going to be super busy once we open again which is good but I’m a little bummed I won’t be hanging out with my kids as much. It’s been so enjoyable to stay home and hang out with my family. Going to bed soon since food urges are coming and going…quickly coming and going…but…they’re still there. Staying strong
Day 9 dropped another pound…currently 216.8…getting their. My goal is 127. Soo far away but making daily progress with this water fast.
Woke up feeling pretty refreshed and a great mood.
Going to go swimming later with the kids. I live in Northern California. The weather said 107.
We have to go food shopping today so praying for sanity and stability.

Just focus on putting one foot in front of the other. Grind daily.
Phew glad day 9 is over. That was a tough one. Day 10. Woke up feeling rested. My energy is good. I understand the keto breath now…I had a little yesterday but this morning was bad. Thank you Jesus for one more day done
Feeling accomplished and like I can continue. Got in my word and asked the Holy Spirit to help guide me through this. Prayer works, it really does! Stepped on the scale. At 216. But I know the weight loss starts to slow down. Still feeling good about it. Going to go swimming with the kids today and my Uncle is coming over to assess some projects I want done around the house and hopefully fix the pool light switch so we can do night swims. Going to be a good day. I can feel it. Took my potassium and thinking about drinking a coffee
We will see. Going to go organize my pantry. It’s a mess from the kids and I haven’t been cleaning and organizing it over the past 10 days since I haven’t even opened it for myself. Feeling like this won’t be tough though.
Day 12 …almost 2/3 done with 21 days…contemplating on whether to start bone broth. It was supposed to arrive last night and I’d start it this morning but it’s “late” so it should arrive in the next couple days. Must be a sign to keep pushing
Yesterday was tough for me smelling bbq tri trip and I made sides of rice and corn for my family. But I made it to today…no idea how but the Lords strength.
All for His glory. Today I’m feeling good. Mid afternoon to early evening is when I start feeling weighed down by hunger so just have to keep my mind occupied. I can’t believe it’s day 12! Feeling accomplished but not out of the game yet
Oh, forgot to log my weight loss. 20.6lbs gone Yay!
currently 213.4lbs.
That’s excellent @Cassandra_G. You are doing great. God is your strength. I am on day 13 and in a few hours I would have completed it and by his grace start day 14th. My body is very resistant to losing weight, so I don’t tend to get the quick results others get. I will calculate and see what my weight is whenever I end my fast. Keep going. Blessings,
@overcomer this is your first time completing over 7 days right?! That’s such exciting news! We are in this together! Thank you for your support💕 God bless you!
You are very welcome. The longest I have done is 8days 11hrs in Feb this year. I kept trying for weeks after that but couldn’t get past 4 days, then I lost my dad and had to stop for a while, I really just thank the Lord for being there for me every day, haven’t been able to grieve properly due to the circumstances of his death and actually knowing the culprit etc. I have felt the presence of the holy spirit this past few weeks like never before, and he has been comforting and during this fast, his presence has been so strong…exactly what I need. Also, the support here has been amazing and I am so thankful for everyone. God truly loves us. Thank you @Cassandra_G, and yes we are in this together. God bless you and know I am here if you need to chat.
