10-Day Water Fast

Hi Kim, thanks so much for your kinds words and all the support. I really appreciate it. My family (my parents, my sister and her daughter and her in-laws + my sister’s cat) were able to leave Kyiv last Friday. They relocated to my parent’s summer house in the central Ukraine :pray:t2:.

I agree with you that modified fasting is a great option - especially, when your ultimate goal is weight maintenance and, thus, portion control. Protein shake fast also sounds good to me. I will probably try to do plant-based smoothie only next week.

So sorry to hear you are struggling with depression :cry: I hope you are feeling better today.
How do you cope? What are your usual remedies against depression?

This must be a relief that there was a way out of the extremely harmful situation. I hope they are safe now :pray:

Thank you Nina, I’m feeling a bit better today. Therapy would help me so much but it’s hard to find a psychotherapist in Germany with free capacities. But I’m not giving up.
Listening to music, watching netflix, writing everything down to get things out of my head and things like meditation are helpful activities for me. Right now I only do things that I really want to do. Fasting is helping me a bit too :+1:

The fast is going great: After 45 hours of water fasting I switched to the protein fast/MF. On saturday I’m going to meet some of my friends and we’ll have dinner together. I’m gonna try to not eat above 600 kcal to stay in the modified fast.
