Congrats everyone on completing Day 15!
Day 15:
In the HARD part of the fast now. On top of that, still paying the price for that long walk. Took several inadvertent naps yesterday. As a result my sleep cycle was screwed up and only slept 3 hours last night. Was hoping to take a 1 mile walk this morning at a minimum. Feet said, “uh uh, honey. NO!” Feet were too stiff and sore to do that. LOL, I can’t even take my own advice that I’ve been giving out liberally to everyone else to not overdo it on the exercise while fasting. Curse of being a Type A, always pushing my own boundaries.
Yesterday, the day I was dreading arrived. Keto breath morphed into what I call Keto Breath Horror. Yet, I appear to have found a weapon to keep it at bay, a cup of black coffee. Didn’t want to resort to mouth wash as the last time I used it during my last fast, it made refeed difficult as my own saliva became distasteful to me when I began eating again. In desperation I made a cup of joe while all I wanted to do was puke. To my amazement it actually worked! That puking feeling didn’t rear its head again until this morning when I was able to it drive away with another steaming cup which sits next to my iPad while I type this entry.
With a roadmap in place with a draft TOC (Table of Contents) I had no more excuses to procrastinate in sitting down and begin writing the book. Best advice I got from watching YouTube on writing tips was set a daily minimum of writing two shitty pages. By doing so you’ll have a first draft in a little over four months. It avoids putting pressure on yourself. Of course once I started I produced 4 pages but you get the point.

Today’s inspirational video is of Sylvester Stallone talking of the sacrifices he made in holding out against the movie studio in the making of the movie Rocky to make sure he was cast in the lead role. One of the sacrifices he made was of one of his most precious possessions:
So what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your goal?
For me, when I began my journey to become medication free and to give hope to those who had resigned themselves to an apparent diabetes doom I made sacrifices. According to the CDC (Centers of Disease Control) the United States has approximately 30.2 million adults with diabetes, around 9.6% of the total population. A majority of them being in low-income minority communities. To be a credible voice to these communities, I reduced my clientele to a single client and as a result I qualified for food stamps which dictates my monthly food budget. Therefore, when I go out there offering a possible solution I can confidently say that its available to anyone no matter what their financial situation is. That’s how much I believe in what I’m doing.
Stay strong
people! See you tomorrow!
