Wow, that was great that you were strong with the chocolate cake!
I’m in a DV shelter temporarily at the moment, and I am surrounded by constant eaters and feeders. I mean CONSTANT. I’m trying to hang in there though. They have a meal schedule where someone comes in to cook during the week, they get cookies donated from a local bakery called Crumbl, and there are always cooking aromas since another lady staying here is always in the kitchen. It’s a bit much. I should be out into a place of my own very shortly, but it’s getting tougher to hold out at the moment. I do much better when I’m in my own space and able to control what comes in and out.
As far as Duolingo, I have 9 languages in my lineup. Italian, German, Swedish, Russian, Hindi, Latin, Polish, Spanish, and Portuguese. I’ve been focused mainly on 3 recently though, Italian, German and Swedish. I started Italian on Rosetta Stone a couple years ago, so I’m much further along in that than the others. Took German in high school, so I had a bit of knowledge there as well. All of the others I just started in December 2021. I figured I’d get to a certain level with the 3 I’m focused on first, then get into the others deeper.
